NYC is a 24 hour town. The question that needs to be answered here is: Do the ferries and connecting buses run 24 hours? If not, don't stay in Weehawken. You may find yourself sitting in an all night diner waiting for the first ferry back to your hotel room.

It's a real pain to be on vacation, having a great time after the show sipping drinks in a nice pub with a great floor show, only to be burdened with keeping an eye on the clock so you don't miss the last ride to your hotel.

Relax. Enjoy. Stay in Manhattan.

Nothin' like being in the heart of NYC. Great place to visit...

There are 3 Club Quarters in Manhattan, one just off of 30 Rock, one around 49th St, and one near Wall Street.

I stayed at the 49th street one, nice place, very small, but not bad for the price on weekends.

Also stayed at one in DC, great location, close to the White House.

Yes, I agree, the Club Quarters have great weekend rates for us.

There is also a POD hotel in NYC. Google it. It's cheap.

As mentioned earlier, Jersey has THE VIEWS of the city, without the city prices and REAL hotel rooms for a fraction of the cost.

If you're smart, you know "how" to get out of the city and I don't mean by Big Yellow Taxi....Its a 15 minute ride from the theatre district .... same amount as to the Hudson uptown! Now THERE's a place!

Affordable NYC hotel rooms is a misnomer h34r: Oh yea, Midlew! Oh yea Pennsylvania! Oh Yea Holiday Inn in Hookerville! Give me Sheraton Suites in Weehawkin!

ps. Club Quarters is rarely availble. If you can get it ... go for it!

Try the San Carlos Hotel. It is very nice. I stayed there many years ago. It is a renovated apartment building turned into a hotel.

That's the one! I could turn the shower on in the bathroom with my toes while still laying in my bed! Fortunately, I didn't spend much time in the room itself as I was out and about the majority of the layover in the city! Even though the accommodations were less than stellar, you do have to admit that the location was excellent!

I could find a mouse or Rat under my bed... then sometimes I could find this nasty porn
stuff that people would put in between the the two matresses
