This was from a visit to DFW in October.

What?

A Fine Quality Douglas Product in front of the lesser Boeing machine.

All is as it should be.

Hmmmmm.........Spent my life on both marques, and wouldn't favor one over the other. My friends at the CAF aver that the Boeing contemporaries of the DC3 were equally well built.

However, pistons and taildraggers are REAL airplanes.

Douglas aircraft, it's sad that there never will be another one rolling off the line in Long Beach. Oh well, just an example of what a handfull of bad decisions will do.

<_< -----Pretty good picture! But but really nothing new! Saw at least six DC-3's, or should say C-47's, when I flew into SJU a few years back!---- 😉 I'm woundering how many DC-10's we'll see flying in say fourty years?---- 😛 Oh! A little bet of information for you! The last MD80 that rolled off the Long Beach line,----- You guessed it! Was in TWA colors!
