Perhaps you may be over indulging on the Hot toddy's to stay warm?

Nah!! your joyful and inspirational comments are "intoxicating" enough all on their own...and sorta like a hangover that just doesnt seem to go away! kidding! who needs a "Hot Toddy" when you can get a dose of "dapoes" and "indulge" in such "feel good" comments, gives ya that "warm" and fuzzy feeling.... I bet you are fun at parties!

kidding!

however I like the tea, the honey and lemon part though!

We stay warm up here by working minimum crew(and digging out from the 30 feet of snow that fell to the ground from breakfast...to lunch!) you'll break a sweat every time!

Attn: All Delta Bloggers

Fact or Fiction Take your pick....
FACT: Nobody -no union official and no NW employee BUSTED into any meeting. The story is...two NW employees walked into a DL breakroom during a break in operations and talked to future co-workers. The topic of conversations were:

(1) Arrival of a time clock: Blame that on Delta not on Northwest.

(2) Union benefit as follows: IAM defined pension, sick time accrual and banks (500 hours personally), OJI accruals and banks (1500 hours personally), seniority protection through grievances, arbitration and court of law, paid holidays, fair and equal overtime distribution, and NWA stock grievance award (over $212,000,000!!)

I'm not going to waste my time with the fiction factor on the blogs. The Union offers protection against Northwest's and soon to be Delta's management whims.

***MOST IMPORTANT IS YOUR PERSONAL VOTE FOR CONTRACTS***
Remember the union provides a binding contract and benefits into retirement:
-pension
-health care
-no SS offset (applies to DL employees only)

****SO VOTE UNION AND PROTECT YOURSELF***

-TWO NWA CO-WORKERS
To all the naysayers out there, the above post comes directly from the two NWA ramp guys who walked into the DL breakroom and spoke directly to the DL people who were present. I'm sure that they would be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding this particular incident.

So which story do we believe then? The latest posted above or the original? Or maybe neither?

Well!
I "believe" someone... is getting a lump of coal from Santa this year(not mentioning any names though!!!) and to be fair, it was even asked to please check that list twice of who has been naughty or nice, and after a time of continued laughing(some tears down his face) and Santa even nearly falling out his chair!!!... the verdict was still.

a lump of coal.

we always get the 411 up here first, in these neck of the woods! BrRrRrrr! so its pretty reliable sources!

believe it!

I think the pod people have snatched the real Dignity and replaced with an inferior copy. Please return him as soon as possible.

how do you believe a story and which one? first of all you need to understand that regardless of what you are hearing or reading, there is always a level of truth to something. what one needs to do is simply understand the "style" and personality of the individual who is telling their side or the account.

for example, a situation may occur and an individual may attempt to explain what happened... the way they see the world and how they explain situations based on their unique personality, that can make a story that is 100 percent true, come across grand and extravagant based on their personality and their take on it..."some people never exaggerate but remember big"... its like someone saying "wow!! I saw that person eat the whole cake and then a pie on top of it in one sitting!!" while it being completely true per say...the "cake" may actually be a single cookie and the pie a tiny tart! while another account maybe be told subtle such as "I just saw someone eating something that looked like a cookie" same story told differently... does that make sense?

generally the facts are there somewhere, you just have to consider who is...telling the story.
just as Kev3188 mentioned, both are probably true and explained differently.

Or if you are considering the two sources of the two different stories, the first being highly questionable and the second being mysteriously anonymous (most likely an existing forum member) with only 1 post to his credit. The entire story then lacks credibility.

Dapoes that is generally how it plays out...with people in general.
there can be a situation and witnessed by 20 people and I guarantee there will be at least two different stories by two people, and at least 2 different perspectives by two other, some will see something someone did not and vice/versa, and then there is the truth what actually happened by 2. You just have to hope you actually talk to the two that actually saw it all unfold exactly. is that the case here maybe, maybe not, but I would pretty much take the most subtle account and apply that as to what the truth really is..simply because I know most of the people I work with are highly professional, so in that regard its probably the latter.

Just because someone makes one post doesnt mean they arent telling the truth!

if you had 20 accounts of an event that unfolded you would get bits and pieces of the fact told by their unique personality., some will make it more than it appears and some will just try and tell it like it happened, at that point you just have to piece it all together and form a conclusion who is supporting who's story, and in that regard you can choose to believe what you think happened.

maybe that one person, with the one post, is one of the two who actually witnessed the situation exactly as it happened and is telling it like it is?

but! generally an account of what happened and told by different people and for the most part are being truthful(there is always some truth underlying), they are just explaining it as they see it(as mentioned earlier).

The difference? Seems to be a lot of difference in the two stories for people that were supposedly present.

Not really. The "style" might differ, but the core story is the same.

Or if you are considering the two sources of the two different stories, the first being highly questionable and the second being mysteriously anonymous (most likely an existing forum member) with only 1 post to his credit.

Let's recap:

1. The OP has very close ties to BOS (you'll just have to trust me on this one).

2. Red Tail Bear, NWA BOS employee verified the account.

3. Another NWA employee (me) heard the same account from another source.

4. A 4th poster verifies-again- that the event did, in fact, occur.

5. Red Tail Bear verifies that the "new" poster(s) are in fact, from BOS and have first hand knowledge.

What more do you want?

As for the correlation between number of posts and credibility, that's at terrible barometer. Everyone has a first post once....

Using your logic, I have almost 8x more credibility than you.

The entire story then lacks credibility.

Only in your mind, and because you want it to.
