US issued new investor guidance yesterday (Friday 4/6/07) with a few interesting tidbits.

For the 2nd consecutive time, they say that the new A321's (deliveries start in 2008) will be configured with 187 seats - no F/C vs Coach breakdown given.

They're redistributing some expenses between Mainline and Express. The end result is that Express CASM will be about 3% higher than it would have under the previous expense distribution, while mainline CASM will be about 1% lower.

Looks like fuel hedging will result in the equivalent of spending about 12 cents/gallon more than market price for fuel for the 1st quarter - the price of having over 50% of 1st quarter fuel hedged at above market cost.

Anticipated 2007 fleet changes - mainline:

- Removal of 5 737-300's (3 in 3Q07 and 2 in 4Q07) without specifying whether East or West.

- Addition of 8 E-190's during remainder of 2007 for a total of 11 by year end.

Anticipated 2007 fleet changes - Express

- Removal of 2 CRJ-200's in 3Q07 without specifying which carrier.

- Removal of 5 E-170's (2 in 3Q07 and 3 in 4Q07) which is obviously Republic.

- Removal of 12 ERJ-145's (9 in 2Q07 and 3 in 3Q07) which is obviously Chataugua.

- Addition of either 20 or 26 E-175's on top of 3 at the end of 1Q07 (they show 29 at the end of 4q but only 23 at the end of year) - again, Republic.
