They combined alot of flights....ie DFW-HNL-OGG. no DFW-OGG flight today.

...things like this are also often planned far enough in advance that pax are re-accommodated on other flights/times/airlines. The revenue generated by charter flights like this are also very profitable generally.

That's good to hear. I would hate to think of AA having to bump hundredds of people to take several flights out of service for a charter. Glad that this was planned well enough in advance.

It is true, they were on our bidsheet for this month. There was a special page in he bidsheet explaining it to us. Some positions were bid, the rest were volunteers. BUT with full pay. I didn't really think this was NEW news. I guess I was mistaken. Seems like everywhere I went F/A's were always asking about it.

Boondoggles???? It's her money. She can spend it anyway she wants. And, especially as long as she spends it with AA, we should be tickled pink. Now, if she spent it with UAL, now there's a boondoggle!

Not a big Oprah fan, but truth be told, If she is a "pain in the butt" say "3" times, but does GOOD things "8" times, then the math says shes a "plus 5 " !!

Anyway, I'm glad It's us(AA), hauling her large BUTT around !!
