In 2003, I was lucky enough to fly on one of the few flights offering the test Buy On Board program.
A few photos of mine (also put on Airlinemeals.net)
This is what I had.... $10 meal and kept me eating for about an hour... this sucker was HUGE!
$5 offering... didn't really eat it, the FA's gave me one but I took a small bite of the side & gave the rest to my seatmate
I didn't have this one, but would have had I not had breakfast! Another $10 option
----------------------
Anyway, why didn't HP keep some of the larger meal options? I felt these were very high-quality and taste meals, and some of the feedback from FlyerTalk was that the Beef went over well...
Now all we have are a few limited crappy options, would be nice to have some real food instead of wraps or turkey & cheese sandwiches!
Mr. Parker's assistant was on board and she said so far feedback has been phenominal. She did say that the sales weren't quite where they wanted them to be; I can understand that but I believe the options were $5, $7, and $10.
After HP tested this, everyone soon jumped on board but seems to offer the same crap as others.. and since HP has lately been a trend setter, why not go back to the original trend of HIGH QUALITY onboard food sales?
Anyone in Tempe or Crystal City reading this?!?! 😛
