He is probably looking around paradise for his 72 virgins.

No virgins for him. I heard they buried him at sea with a dead dirty pig strapped to his carcass.

I think maybe they should have considered building a special memorial with his body in the middle of a desert somewhere, open only once per year. Then every year when his followers came to pay their "respects" we blow them up and they can join him in hell. But that's just me.

Totally disagree. This isn't about scoring political points, Garf, at least not at home.

The world has to know we succeeded here. Otherwise they'd consider us more impotent than they already do. When you're dealing with a culture that only respects actions of like force, e.g. eye for an eye, being a smarmy diplomat does no good. They already laugh at us about our non-handling of Ghadaffi.

And I'm sure simply saying we caught him and dumped his body at sea isn't going to be enough once the first post-mortem video of him shows up on AllahTube. The Navy should be posting photos of his autopsy. That's harder to disprove.

I'm also curious to see how our relationship with Pakistan handles this. He wasn't hiding out in their back country in a cave near the border... He was living a rather comfortable life in a summer resort town, near a military training academy no less... And nobody happened to notice a fortress with an 18' wall being built?...

It was reported that the shot entered the eye area and has brain and whatever exposed. If we don't want a global birth certificate, they will release pics.

Where did you see that? I had not heard the government release much of anything. Lots of speculation but little fact.

As for the burial, Islamic law requires burial with in 24.hiursbof death. According to what I read he was buried in accordance with Islamic law.

When you look at pictures of the compound and the countryside it looks like a very nice area. It would appear despite all the talk of him being able to rough it in caves and remote villages being the son of a billionaire meant he liked luxury.

I'm also guessing he started to believe his own BS and that's why his house was a treasure trove of intel. You figure simple security procedures would have precluded him from keeping that stuff on his person.
