Would the flight ever get to depart?"Ladies and gentle, from the flight deck, this is the captain. We realize that our departure time for your flight to Rome has come and gone. We apologize for the delay, but the ground personnel are still loading baggage into the cargo hold. We are not sure how much longer this will take, as there has been no information passed on to the cockpit regarding the length of the delay. However, today you are welcome to voice your concerns about USAirways service in Philadelphia with the Chairman of USAirways, Mr. Doug Parker. Mr. Parker is sitting in Row 20, seat C. While we are delayed here at the gate, feel free to pass by and tell the head of the airline just what you think. And thanks again for choosing USAirways. We will be passing along any information we receive concerning the length of our ground delay here in Philadelphia."
Why is Mr. Parker in Rome? He should be like Scotty on the Enterprise right now trying to get more power to run SHARES properly.
And the "New Name" for US Airways will become the "Spaghetti Westerns" Airlines. :bleh: :bleh: :bleh:Didn't you hear ?
He's making a bid for Alitalia.
IS this a joke?"Ladies and gentle, from the flight deck, this is the captain. We realize that our departure time for your flight to Rome has come and gone. Doug sat in all the meetings with IT to make sure the conversion was unsuccessful. He needed some rest from directing all this evil thrown onto the employees. He will come back with his batteries charged to create even more problems for employees. I'm sure any reservation system US converted to - everyone would have been unhappy.
THAT WAS BRILLIANT!!! The next announcement would have been "flight attendants we need a body bag"."Ladies and gentle, from the flight deck, this is the captain. I stand corrected. The IT folks are in on the scam as well. They thought lets make sure we screw up this conversion, just like all the baggage folks ensure bags missconnect.
