Heard Parker was in Philly yesterday I guess he had to see for himself what a mess he has on his hands. I was told he didnt want to talk to management and only wanted to talk to the employees.

I wonder if he's stopped in PIT yet...

I think Mr. Parker shouldn't avoid talking to the management in PHL. It's always better to find out what's wrong from the employees first, then grill management on a hot seat and see how much squirming and subject-changing occurs.

Doug Parker, if you read this, so far you are impressing a lot of us with your willingness to solve problems and actually have a dialogue with employees. Keep up the good work.

I disagree with talking to management I think that was a terrific idea kind of like a General Bradley of WW2. He blended in with the grunts spoke to troops found out what problems and corrected them.

If you just speak to management you will never get the real Big Picture just alot of Bull S__t !

Parker did the right thing he should do it more often the workers are looking a leader and lately the workers haven't gotten any from the con artists at CCY.

LibertyBell,

The second paragraph of your reply illustrates EXACTLY why I thought he should talk to management after talking to the employees. He needs to find out who is giving him BS and who is not. Not all management is anti-employee or unqualified to do their job. The best way to find out who is and who isn't, IMO, is to grill them about what the employees see as a problem. He can make a much more informed opinion of his management if he knows who is solving problems and who isn't with a simple interrogation.

Doug just needs to get rid of Al...

That would be a tremendous start.......

He can't get rid of AL yet because Al has to do his dirty work in Maintenance and Operations first. Once he does all the cutting and is the bad buy Parker will cut him loose with a big fat parachute!!!

Thats why they kept AL.. He's the bad guy.

I doubt Doug reads this website.. He's still reading his 5 page contract.. He's having a hard time getting past the part that says "After 1 year of service you are entitled to a 45 million dollar seperation payment if the equity partners feel you are not doing a good job. And the part about lifetime benefits, flight benefits, free use of the AmericaWest corporate jet and all the snack boxes he can eat.

Has anyone stopped to consider that Mr Parker may well be a lurker on this very board? And unbeknownst to all of us he has been gathering information that led to his decision to actually visit PHL himself?

Would be a stark contrast to the Enema Kit sending, Treasury looting prostitutes that are in charge now.

I'm sure he's got better things to do than lurk on message boards.

Once he does confront managemenr with what he learns there'll be more
fingerpointing than at the Nuremburg trials....

I hope he went to the F terminal to see the mess U has put the EMB-170 Division employees in. I just wish they would get us the heck out of that messed up terminal. We do not belong there.

I really hope parker can solve our problems, he looks like a very good guy in front of lakefield, who has killed our airline so badly, lakefield was a horible CEO, this is this is the only thing he has done good for the airline, the merging of the two, i hope parker can make us a airline that we were 7-10 years ago
and i think he will be able do to that
BTW, is there anyway i can find the video of the merger broadcast that happend on may
29 ?

Well, my understanding is sometime next week or maybe as soon as tomorrow, hero Doug Parker will make an announcement on who in the Exec. VP ranks are going to AWA.

Me thinks you won't be thinking him such an ingenious savior once you read the list of who from U is going over to AWA.

Actually rumor has it that he does read the board. and to the poster who made the bonus comment you're off base. Right idea WRONG CEO

I KNOW he reads e-mails but, if anything, he has a lackey who reports on the internet buzz. Let's face it, CEO of a major airline and growing, beautiful and fertile wife, children, and a religion that tells him to procreate so that more loved ones will meet him in Heaven. And I thought us Catholics were happy campers! 😀
