Why should you be scared....since you lowered the "limbo" stick....that is unless everyone else makes it under...then it's your turn again

Ronin, read my previous posts. I have friends at UAL. I'm scared for ya'll. And it's not over for us at US. We're just in the temporary cuts stage; the permanent ones are still to come. And we haven't even started talking about bene's yet. We're still just on pay. But I know ya'll are right there with us. Have they said anything to you about sick time, holiday, vacation, medical and dental yet?

The company is taking it's time. Then they will say they couldn't get the cuts and have the judge do it.

Just cut now and get it over with. Get rid of maint. When you have a few lawn darts maybe they will see their mistakes. The suspense is the worst of it all.

May all of them burn in HELL for destroying a great airline and the thousands of lives affected by it.

Whoa....steady there laddie. It's the Alamo alright, and Santa Anna is about to give his ultimatum. Regardless of where fuel prices are, this company never ever came close to doing the things it needed to do, especially when it came to management. So keep your powder dry, I'm right next to ya. Who knows, maybe there's a few more that are willing to pay the price to do the right thing.

Nope, not a word on any off it. I did talk to the union and they had wishful thinking it would be limited to "non-pay" items...but I think that is not going to fly. Though it is common practice for all parties NOT to share the rewards, somehow we ALL seem to share the "sacrifice"...not counting management of course. Why you guys don't hold the line or pull the plug is beyond me. But then again, our rank and file aren't very proven in that regards either. I do know this, people ARE leaving. Things are getting so bad, the other night I came back from working a gate call to find our new "check" crew all huddled around an engine with a "aid book". These people were all laid off backshop people who hadn't been on an airplane in god knows when. Most don't have jack for mechanic senority but they transplanted and have tons of company senority, hence no layoff. They f*cked that engine up so bad we just pulled the aircraft out of service to be dragged down to base for repair. Before long, union and company policy is going to get innocent people hurt or killed and you know what all these stupid sh*ts say on this board...."It's all about rules, contracts, senority..." Funny thing is, it's going to be one of these idiots riding one of these pigs down. Oh well...I haven't flown in 2yrs, and I'm not going to anytime soon either

You'll get the chance, but if UAL doesn't get what they want they'll just run to the jugde. It would be nice if we all had the stones to spit in their eye and take a stand on principle.

USAIR is setting the stage as to what pay will be in the future at the legacy carriers that survive you can bet on that!!!! 500M  I think you ALL will be VERY surprised how much UniTED will truly ask your groups to sacrifice AGAIN! IT'S GOING TO BIG AND PAINFUL, THE SAME WAY IT HAS BEEN AT USAIR!!!!!

Truth hurts I know 787, that's the true reality of UniTED'S dire situation. Pretty sad after almost 2 years in BK, you have a CFO that admittedly tells the paper "We don't have a plan that is financible!" AMAZING, in reality what he was saying is that we can't find the exiting financing we need except MORE pay cuts from the employee groups.

How's Frontier? Heard the balance sheet sucks. Wow, you sure can pick em Fish. (At least United wised up and got rid of you)

I don't know were you get your rumored information FLY. There has been no news about F9'S balance sheet anywhere in the papers. You must have an inside source HUH? Our finacials come out on Friday FLY and there has been no speculation of doom and gloom at F9. As I said before, if F9 post a loss it will be nothing compared to what we will see from UniTED's 3Q loss. I speculate that it will be in the 600M range, just like Deltas was.

And FLY, I am going to explain it to you one more time OK. I QUIT that F'D up company UniTED!!!!! And AGAIN I will tell YOU as YOU already know. UniTED is undoubtly one of the worst companys I or 1000's of current and past employees has EVER worked for. Face it FLY UniTED SUX as an employer, I know the truth hurts. I was smart fly and QUIT! So you better stop telling people on here otherwise or I will finally ask the moderator to delete your slanderous posts. I have never come on here and spued slanderous inaccuracies about any one employee from UALHELL. Remember you said that if I was fired I would'nt have gotten my retro pay right. WELL quess what I got it, ON TIME and ENJOYED spending EVERY PENNY of it for X-MAS gifts. Have a VERY MERRY X-MAS FLY.

Take a look at reality FLY, read the USAIR threads! Their offers from USAIR management are out. Listen to the employees on how amazed they are at the results. And that most will vote NO on the concessions being DEMANDED by USAIR management. You will see the same results happening at UniTED real soon.

Gee Fish....you sure???? LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'm amazed that you get off hoping your old co-workers get the high hard one. Guess friendship isn't one of your strong points (which is prolly why you were forced out, huh?)

BTW, thought you said Frontier was "the hometown airline". guess not. This was printed yesterday (gee, they have NO faith in Frontier) Here

If United Airlines were to fail, it would be an "economic-development catastrophe" for the state, with no other hub airline likely taking its place in Denver, officials said last week.

Stop wishing and get a life.

UAL has already been an economic disaster for more cities than just DENVER FLY!!!! Denver will survive just fine with or without UAL. It's time UAL got knocked down a few notches for all the DEMANDS they have tried to extort from the city of Denver. But I guess not paying bills to the city of Denver makes UAL a model employer then HUH? NOT!!!!

Committee members include former Denver aviation manager Jim DeLong; Frontier Airlines chief executive Jeff Potter; Denver businessman and former Continental Airlines board member Donald Sturm; and former Public Service Co. of Colorado chairman Del Hock.

Denver economic development chief John Huggins, another member of the panel, said a loss of United in Denver would be "economically survivable" for the airport, but an "economic-development catastrophe" for the city and the region. Meaning that F9 could not handle the demand of the Denver market on their own. It is not saying that the loss of 6000 jobs in Denver will matter all that much.

Where is UAL'S representation HUH? OH, guess Denver isn't counting to highly on UAL'S survival MAYBE? Maybe we'll pick up UAL's A319's when they go up for sale!

This article in UAL'S defense FLY is irrelevant, the city is just planning for a future without UAL is all, I don’t blame them!

I'm amazed that you get off hoping your old co-workers get the high hard one.

BTW FLY, all my old co-workers and Friends from UAL have already gotten the HIGH HARD ONE as you put it!!!
