The last 2 weeks a rumor floating around has piedmont sending 20 aircraft to be based in phx along with one maintainence base.No comment on which base will close roa,mdt or sby.Seems like a lot of routes will be cut back or eliminated.Again, just a rumor.

The out going VP of MX said he was working on some "Exicting news" which we all assumed was the refinancing announced a few weeks ago but from a PHX MX standpoint any "Base MX" would be exicting news.

Rumor in SBY is Steve Farrow will be retiring very, very soon.

Sounds like somethings brewing with the Mesa contract in Phx, the rumors are all over the place. It may have started because Mesa didn't anty up to the mainline fund like Republic and AW did, wait and see I guess.

Like JO would Ante up any money...Mesa is in the red...it's just a matter of time.

It's pay to play at the USAirways feeders, Air Wisc is in, Republic and their subsidiaries are in, Mesa is out and PSA/PDT there story has yet to be told.

Five Stocks That Look Completely Worthless
The future for regional carrier Mesa Air Group looks bleak, as the ill effects of both contract restructuring and a potentially devastating lawsuit mount.......
Notwithstanding the Chinese expansion and fleet transition, Mesa has many troubles looming. First, the firm recently escaped an attempt by Delta to terminate its contract (16% of total revenue) because of poor performance. Second, US Airways has been reducing Mesa's capacity with no guarantee for a contract renewal. Even if US Airways renews the contract early next decade, we suspect it will come at substantially lower contractual reimbursement rates. Finally, the firm is in the midst of a second lawsuit for unscrupulous activity relating to its Hawaiian go! operations. If the firm has to post bond at the conclusion of the Aloha case for an amount similar to the $90 million it had to post as a result of its dispute with Hawaiian Holdings HA, it may have serious trouble continuing as a going concern........
We're reducing our fair value estimate for Mesa to $0 from $0.40 per share, as we believe the firm's current financial position is insufficient to meet its upcoming financial obligations.

Better hurry and get yer chunk!

20 a/c is a lot. Over a third of the fleet. You sure it's not 20 flights a day being moved to PHX?
