If it's a good policy for seeing the First Lady, shouldn't it be a policy when casting a ballot to elect the First Lady's spouse?...

I can understand an ID, but what get's my chops is the SSN requirement. I do not give my SSN to anyone other than a bank, loan company, or legal entities that require it by law.
Your SSN is for Social Security purposes only.
Just like 'in the olden days', merchants would ask to write your SSN on your check, tell them to FO and they take your check anyway.
When they demanded a work telephone number they always got 999-555-1212, call that and see what it gets you...
IIRC, wasn't there a law passed in 1976 (or so) that made sure no one had to disclose their SSN to a third party?
Any who, this just chaps my ass to require a SSN.

By the way, the SS card and US PP are a form of national ID issued by the Fed.

Yet my SS card says "Not for identification" on it...

OK, but each person can be identified by their unique SS number. Even if we discount the SS number, we still have the handy document called the Passport. I am pretty sure that it does not have any disclaimer like that on it now does it?
