Recalls always good news!
However in perspective, I believe around 250 pilots leave in 2007 due to age 60 requirements. With staffing of 190 needed I see a need for quite a few more. History is not in favor of pilot staffing reurning to any where near the numbers of past.

Any news on the fight to change the age extention? Is the fight retroactive for these guys?
............. and be put on the bottom of the list as a new hire. They will not assume their pervious seniority.
Don't blame me. That's what was explained to me by Congressman Jimmy Duncan former head of the Aviation Sub Committee. Hell, I'm 62. If I go back, say 2 months, maybe more cause I'm as dumb as a stone, of going through ground school, about 2 more months getting through sim. I'm not as sharp as I once was so figure on 100 hours of IOE then 6 months or more right seat if I don't doze off between V1 and Vr. So, I figure I've wasted 8 months or so. Now that being said, figure on some sick days, lack of enthusiam etc, I figure they might get one good year out of me ,tops. If I had to go to the bottom, I'm not even considering going back.Bud,
A policy like that is just pure crap. Seniority should be original DOH......period.
Regards from a former AAA '89 never returning
Around Mid 1989OK, now for the fun part.
If every one of the next 274 furloughees accepted recall, what would be the hire date of the most junior one?
(include J4Js, those who "resigned", etc.)
I heard some B6 guys say that they can't wait to come back to US and other pilots are waiting to see what happens with DL.
