Pit Base Maintenance

Abiding by the contract would have meant all the pilots of the grounded fleet types would not have gotten paid.

There were hundreds of grievances that were filed against pilots cleaning planes during the 30 day cooling off period.

Performing work of another unionized group's contract is being a scab.

And at least it took a court order to tell the AFA they had to work.

Some were paid and the rest were thrown out in the back to work agreement.

It was 13 years ago, I dont have the exact numbers.

Which says to me that there were hundreds of occurances of cleaners refusing to abide by their contract prior to any official or legal work action taking place. When people step outside the law or their contract they lose support from their fellow workers. You want support? Then play by the rules.

This is one hell of a mess. 13 years after that strike and there is still finger pointing going on over it. As long as we remain focused on the past, we will certainly be blindsided by the future.

.... It was a bigger mistake for me to respond to it. This is not the time or place to discuss these issues and nothing good will come of any of this. ... I am deeply sorry. ...... I have no knowledge or clue what happened after that.

I'm placing myself in the cornfield for good. You folks have at it. I've had enough.

Over and out.

The connotation in this statement is truly sick, yet you call someone else sick without seeing the speck in your own eye. There are billions of individuals on this planet and they are all different and think differently then you. Does this fact make them sick, or must everyone meet your standards, which are anything but stellar reading you post and seeing what your mind produces. You would be better of to stay off these boards and frequent your country club where everyone there is like you, not concerned about money. Pit, you have spiraled downward since your U departure compared to what you used to post, maybe U left you mentally ill, believing the world is all wrong and in need of treatment, that you’re living on a planet where you’re the only sane individual. Seek Help Pit. Being incognito all these years doesn’t hide your mental state---Curt

The rules were played by, exactly by the rules. When you work EXACTLY by the company's policies, it takes longer to do the work.

And there was a lack of manpower due to the fact no one was working overtime.

Maybe you should stick to things you know about.

Next time a pilot does not show up or is late, heck let anyone jump in the cockpit and take the flight.

And you never forget the past, and especially a group of people that stabbed you in the back.

Nobody stabbed you in the back 700. The IAM had a beef with the company, the pilots did not. It's that simple. Say didn't the IAM cross the UA pilots line back in 84 or 85?

The IAM did not do a pilot's work and the IAM made no secret deal for all the employees to get paid if they did not work.

And yes ALPA stabbed labor in the back, no and if or buts about it.

Curt,
Read on and you will see Bottom had it coming. Also I think you may be in the know when talking to me about mental illness issues.
Regards,
P
