700UW said:Guess you forgot about the contract in 1992 was concessionary.
there were no raises except for longevity from 1995 till 1999 during negotiations.
The 1999 contract was give and take. No one side clearly gained and 9/11 changed the whole industry.

700UW said:There was never a staffing formula in the contract, in CLT for example before the 92 contract it was 2 mechs per 3 gates.
And there has not been one mech and one ute for gates in years.
And work was increased in 92 with the CLT hangar and support shops, you forget we had over 400 planes at one point.
And there has been layoffs since 2001, where have you been?

me too........PITMTC said:You're right DR.EVIL, back to the topic. I should have know better than to think I would have a fair two way interchange anyway.
I am not one much for rumor, but my history shows me that when the guys on the floor are hearing things, and the chatter begins, they usually come true at some point in the future.
That's probably why upper management doesn't tell the lower levels anything. They know that people love to talk and there are too many X-workers at lower level positions.
I am setting myself up mentally already.
