PIT Flight Reduction Press Release *Still* Mispelled

Take a look, it's right there for everyone to see at:

US Airways To Reduce Pittsburg Service In Early 2008

This is after they've had more than enough time to correct the error on the website. Tempe can't even spell the name of the city right, much less find it on a map.

SHAMEFUL. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for that and speaks volumes about what the new US Airways REALLY knows about PIT. Tempe employs too many interns and ASU drop outs doing the jobs of older, experienced professionals. That is an elementary mistake, and the fact that it remained that way for more than 24 hours is appalling.

But that is the cheapest, er, most cost effective way to run things.

They probably negotiated a better price with Microsoft by removing spell check. They are a bunch of goofs. Is there anything they have done without looking like shmucks?

I'm half tempted to say they look good to the shareholders... but given the stock price has dived in the past few months and that there no dividends, they don't even look good to the owners.

Pittsburgh PA is the only Pittsburg in the US spelled with an H (in their defense)

There are FIVE full time employees in public relations! There's no excuse for any grammar or usage errors in a press release. Shameful. Bunch of flunkies...

Later,
Eye

(in their defense)

there is no defense. this is amateur hour at the airlines. I don't think insulting the people who are losing their jobs after working for this company for so many years will be viewed as business casual.

They corrected it--does anyone know when they made the correction? What morons.
