does anyone know how many mechanics are left in Pit ?

There is line and base.

The line is probably going to lose jobs when the flights are cut back.

I don't know the numbers but my buddy who is a Pit mech. tells me that they have been told no mech. will loose their job. Not sure I trust them on that.

I believe it, but they will probably be in another city to hold their jobs.

Ran into a Pit mechanic and an ex co-worker today who had years of seniority on me. He is now on midnight to hold his job. It seems 20 years is what it takes to hold Pit or close to it anyway.

After talking to him and what he is still going thru, the never ending uncertainty of his job, I am so glad to be gone and really do feel for the ones left in that God forsaken place. I don’t miss it, just the great people I met, some were in management too.

That company should pay for all employees counseling sessions, it's the least they can do.
