[P]Kewl! Dope smoking, sex-partner swapping, attractive flight attendant back on the job.[/P]
[P]Pilots, your bennies have returned!!![/P]

Well, she did say it was not a regular occurence and that makes it okay

The flight attendant who was fired after testifying in David Westerfield's trial that she had smoked marijuana with Danielle van Dam's parents got her job back this week.

Denise Kemal was reinstated as a flight attendant on Southwest Airlines after appealing the company's decision to fire her through internal grievance procedures, a company spokeswoman said yesterday.

Southwest, which has a zero-tolerance drug policy, fired Kemal in June after she testified in the nationally televised murder trial.

Reached yesterday, Kemal said getting her job back feels great.

How is this a zero-tolerance policy?

[P]One has to wonder if it might have had anything to do with a long drawn out battle with the FA union, and the ACLU. Most likely, it avoids a bunch of wasted dollars in lawsuits. But I have to wonder kiowa, are you an airline employee, and if so, are you unioinized, and if so, would you not want your union to go to bat for you and fight a wrongful dismissal, even if what you did was clearly a violation of company policy? Because thats sort of what your union dues are paying for. Indeed, it's about the only benefit that a union still provides. FWIW, I don't think she should have been reinstated.[/P]

MS. Kemal was given back her job after her contrite testimony, TWU involvement, and CA attorney general's office intervention. Stringent monthly drug and alcohol testing are a condition of employment.

Maybe she'll get her act together. At least she was a stand-up guy (as Andy Sipowicz would say) when it counted.
