Did anyone get the notice that AA is switching from express scripts/medco to OptumRx shortly?

Along with the possibility of an increase in cost, here is what folks are saying.

Well, obviously you just don't see the big picture. You should be grateful for all the money the company will be saving by OptumRx giving you the runaround on your prescriptions.

"What if it threatens your life or health to be without your medications?" Please. As I said, you just don't see the big picture. We must all sacrifice for the good of the company.

Perscriptions cost $5 at the company I work at now.

Gee, all we need is John John telling us how to game getting a prescription filled, DCA Crash Pad to insist that prescriptions should be sent out in DOH order, and for Bob Owens to start complaining about how the $5B in the bank would have paid for free prescriptions for the next 8.2 years....

What's ironic is that Medco and Express Scripts have more complaints and a worse rating than the new guys do.

Pretty sad when a company with an 80% 1-star rating trumps your existing provider, yet I never had a problem using Medco in the past.

All that said, since being able to get $4 generics at Target and Walmart, we haven't used mail order in years. Don't you guys have that same option thru UHC?

Hey e, they all look the same to me. The point is they are changing in mid stream which will be a cluster, and then in my Q&A it did state that there could be some price increases, plus may not cover what has been covered in the past. As for medco, never had a problem either, but have had with express scripts.

Looks like a common theme - none of the big mail order pharmacies are well-liked by their captive customers (forced to do business with them if they take expensive drugs not qualifying for the $4 generic programs).

Ah, I missed that... yes, I'm sure Doug Parker and Tom Horton are looking closely at DL's prescription program as being the definitive model on how to best achieve all the potential synergies that DL has managed to attain, largely at UA and AA's expense.

I also had no problems with Medco, but have had more than one with ExpressScripts. For instance, I have taken the generic for my cholesterol medication since a generic has been available--over 20 years. ExpressScripts has sent me two notices that I could save money by switching to the generic on this medication. ?????
