Yesterday morning I was working a flight from MCI to DAL. We left MCI at 0730. In flight, the captain got a call from ATC that Love Field "was closed due to an emergency." Captain said that he was not told to divert to DFW; so, he told ATC that he would slow down until further notice.
Within 5 minutes, he heard from ATC that DAL was open again. We arrived at DAL on time (actually a few minutes early).
Once we were at the gate and the passengers were deplaning, Captain called the tower to ask the nature of the emergency. All the tower person would say was "It was an attitude problem." Refused to give further information.
Ok, I am totally intrigued. Does anyone have any idea what happened?
