Question for Agents

I am trying to non-rev on 2 flights with my 2 children. I would like to take 1 big bag that would have to be checked with all our clothes. Since we are flying standby, will my bag keep going to my final destination? Would it just be better to take 3 bags? The flight is real tight so would probably need to check them anyway. But would like to have them if we get stuck in our first city.

Don't check anything you need in the event you get stuck.

Don't count on anyone taking responsibility for a delay if your bag needs recovered at the last minute.

Take an Extra Bag with atleast two days of clothes for You and your Children as well as the toiletries.
