Actually, I wish you nothing but the best. I have many friends at MANY airlines and I have worked for 2 myself. I have become somewhat knowledgeable after surviving 2 BK at one carrier and the tailend of another BK at another carrier. When I first started in this industry I didn't know crap about the industry, and was quickly woke up by my very first BK. At that time I took notice, I just wish that others that think they are indestructable would do the same. I have seen it all, much of it was very bad. You learn to listen to people, but toss out about 75% what your told b/c its horsesh#t, then do your own research and look at the big picture. One thing for sure, anything definite you will hear on the 6 o'clock news.. Many of my friends work at AA, They own homes, have children and they are very dear to me, however, they need to wake up..... This is a different industry, and unless they want to be steamrolled again, they have to learn to look at the big picture. Look at the bottom line, I don't think my airline is the best, and I know they don't give a rats ass about me or my job. That is just a reality, and it is everywhere. If I were to stand on the sidelines and cheer anywhere, it would be at USAIRWAYS, the east employees have been through hell and Deserve the BEST, for what they have given and had to put up with. On your board over at AA, people don't want to entertain the fact of something happening to them or something not going their way, this will bite you in the A@@ every time.. I say it constantly, look outside the box people. My CEO will sell our company off for a fast buck just as quick as yours will.. No ill will toward you, just do yourself a favor, and get creative, you will need it.
