Republic is an absolute joke...I feel like i am in jr high working there. I have worked for PSA,mainline,midway,midatlanic,and now republic in my ten year US journey, and by far RPA is the worst. Its very hard to describe, you just have to live it.

I've been tempted for a while to start a thread on the "regionals" board along the lines of "Do All Regionals (Express, Connection, Airlink, Commuter, whatever) Bite?"
It seems that people at every carrier have gripes about their "partner" carriers. Maybe it's just in nature of the beast.

For my own USD 0.02 worth, RPL has more "issues" than most regionals. The kind thing to say would be to chalk it up to growing pains. I'm in a good mood tonight (no idea why) so I'll leave it at that. At least they are better than Mesa. 'course that is kinda like saying that Moe is the smartest of the Three Stooges. 😛

FWIW, I heard that RPL had a 170 slide deployment in a Northeastern station last night. The nice thing to say would be it happens to everyone sometimes.

They should change thier slogan to "Lord Help US", or "Fly With US... but not really."

Very very bad decision for all involved if this is true. Let's hope it's not... this would be very bad for morale, not to mention the product, which US always forgets are one and the same.

And yes, Republic did have another inadvertent slide deployment last night. Someone is going to be seriously injured or worse.

I saw a bulletin posted in a US station yesterday,about,um,inadvertant slide deployments.The MAINLINE has had 14 since January ! To be fair,a couple were catering and one was contract mx,but don't act like the mighty mainline doesn't have it happen.Quite a few were MAINLINE F/A's not making sure the slide was disarmed.

Well the question should be what's the percentage of accidental slide deployments on M/L versus Republic that has what 25 planes versust 250 plus M/L aircraft?
