What's new

Remember this in 2005? Union leaders bad or good?

Show to the board that this administration is the most anti-worker, which you cant because they are not.

Bush lost over 6 million jobs.

And if you wonder why TX job growth is more the MI is because TX opted out of the minimum wage law.

And glad to see once again, you fail to address any post where your refuted and proved wrong.

I am wasting my time with you, because you refuse to learn and actually find out the truth.

Lets compare Texas to Michigan...

Yes, lets...

Texas is a disaster, period. No amount of neo-con talking points will show otherwise.

But, hey, if ranking #1 in minimum wage jobs, #1 in uninsured citizens, #3 in teen births, and so on is something you're into, go with it...

sorry, but we have to do a little truth checking.
.
First, Texas has the largest int'l border of any state in the US and the 3rd highest percentage of undocumented workers, behind CA and almost equal to AZ... suppose the number of undocumented workers affects those statistics?.

Yet TX has the lowest unemployment rate of those 3 states and below the national average. In fact, CA's unemployment rate is 3.5% points higher than Texas and more than 2 points higher than the national average.
Despite having just 66% of the population of California, Texas has 76% of the number of jobs.
Texas created more jobs in the year ended July than any other state (269K) and just 25K less than the next two CA (189K) and NY (106K) combined.
.
As the 2nd largest state by population, Texas is bound to be in the top ranking of just about any listing of the states.
.
Looking at per capita income, Texas is 4th among non-coastal states behind WY, CO, MN, and IL...
.
Texas is the largest state by GDP without a state personal income tax which means that the actual earnings of Texans moves up quite a bit relative to other states.
If Texas were a country of its own, it would be the world's 12th largest economy, comparable to Mexico and Texans have a per capita income comparable to Canadians.
.
Apparently, the number you don't like is that TX has one of the lowest unionization rates in the country.... oh, and its governor is now a leading presidential candidate.
You may not like Texans choice of leaders or its method of running the state but you cannot accurately argue that Texas is not doing well economically compared to its peers or that Texans don't benefit from the economic strength of the state.

BTW, the current economic disaster of the country would be Nevada with California right behind it.

Here ya go 700 facts shooting down your union utopia!

hohmanRTW-chart2.jpg

Union states kill jobs no debating it!

700 you also wanted some proof of job killing from the White House how about them shutting down Gibson Guitars factory and telling them to move it over seas?
How about over 3000, new regulations from the EPA in July alone estimated to kill 2 million jobs? How about shutting down the gulf oil and gas drilling for over a year? We can go on and on. You either refuse to be educated or are so brainwashed your beyond reasonable cognitive processing.

Just finished watching Sean???? He has always been know for his "fair and balanced" reporting......and talking points. Back over to you Mr. Rove.

Last time I checked the White House doesnt run Gibson Guitars, no one at the WH is on the BOD or the CEO.

Just keep up the lies.

No one shut down the gulf oil production for a year.

Why do you insist on lying and making things up?

Man are you misinformed.

But most likely you know your wrong and just parroting the union/democratic party line like a good little union troll.

I wasn't thinking of unionization rates when I wrote that. You and another poster are the ones using that as a straw man.

As for Perry? He's an idiot. JMHO.

Actually I can argue that a large number of Texans are not benefitting at all.

Such a mature and fact filled reply, not!

Once again, you fail to learn the truth, avoid the issue and not debate nor refute.

Glad to see you attack and insult when someone doesnt agree with you, come back when you can actually debate with facts.

700 that little graph that shows right to work states vs union states job performance is a fact, data from the dept. of labor.

And I posted facts to show how union workers are more productive than non-union and many other facts and you choose to ignore, and just insult and attack.

And your chart was made from an "unknown" Author so no one knows if the data is skewed, now do they?

You left that part out, its right on the bottom of the chart.

and dont forget...unions didnt and couldnt help when we were forced into BK..twice! I pay my union dues each month...The market dictates my pay not a union negotiated contract! One must ask themselves after numerous management folks... styles.... etc what do we have in common since 1989? Not management! Unions are great for somethings and not for others. They dont make a company money ...the employee does... Just interesting reading whether you agree or not.... Doug hasnt changed his management style since he has been here has he? We were doing real well until the latest union fight... Surely no one could argue with those facts? Buisness 101 my friends..seriously in the end thats what it all comes down too... Like it or not! Glad to hear you are happy with the major bucks you are earning 700....Glad your union could get you what you wanted!
Although much talk about union vs. non-union has been stated, unless you understand the symbiotic relationship, you are blowing wind out of your @$$! You need unions as much as you need the brown nosers. Are unions always fair? No! But neither is management that wants to profit from the ignorant @$$ cleaners. Management loves labor disputes because they know you will keep their colon clean.

Corporate America's goal is to hire cheap labor and most of you are making it too easy 😛
