What's new

Republican controlled house says.."DEFUND Obamacare, or we're SHUTTING the GOVT. DOWN "

It's a real nowhere man

Living in Its nowhere land

Making all Its nowhere rules

For everybody

It's as blind as It can be

Just sees what It wants to see

(Sorry John... )

Statement below made when the debt ceiling was 8 trillion..............just 7 years later, we're at almost 17 trillion!

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government can’t pay its own bills. ... I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.”
&mdash; Then-Sen. Barack Obama, <a data-xslt="_http" href="http://www.gpo.gov/f...t1-PgS2236.pdf" target="_blank">floor speech in the Senate, March 16, 2006

Next!

Yep, this is the same moron that said he would cut the debt in half on his first term of president...instead he doubled it.

Gven the economic condition at the ti.e I still cannot figure out why he wojld make suchh a stupid statement.

So, seriously...

I get that Cruz and his fellow TeaBaggers are just pulling all the stops to force the repeal or defunding or delay of the ACA

I get that Boehner & Co are between a rock and a hard place

Still...

If they are so sure that they are right, and that they have the support for this...

Why do they not employ the normal legislative process, introduce and pass a clean, separate, single-purpose bill to do that, get it passed, and if necessary, override the eventual veto?

Isn't that how the legislative process is described in the Constitution?

If they are right, and have the support they claim, it should be easy.

So, seriously, why all this bluster and refusal to fund the spending that they already ordered. They are willing to do that if they get their way, so why not do it, and just pass a law that says what they want it to say, re health insurance regulation?

Noticed Iffy, passed right by this one !

I didn't say he was perfect

In fact, I am quite sure he got quite the education beginning on or about 2.22.09

Such as that the US had already committed to spending a whole damn bunch of $$$ that it was going to have to borrow, and that it was going to get worse, especially due the Great Recession and having to pay for wars that we borrowed for instead of paying for, before it got better.

I did say that he, and since he is only the face, what came with him was hands down the better choice.

Was still in 2012

I generally only really post when the usual suspects on here post really out there unfactual unsubstantiated, or ridiculously hyper-political stuff.

I get your point, and when John said it, it was pretty much true.

Not in It's case

Nothing like me

I admit when I am wrong

Or don't know

Don't want to make rules for others to live by

And learn and research from a variety of sources

First page of the CC thread, for example, I said there were valid criticisms, and that I wasn't defending it, and I didn't. I flat out said I was not qualified to judge it. I only said what it was, where it came from, and that it was not responsible for all of the horrible things Mommy Roth claimed, and wouldn't be.

No, It is not the same as me... Not much...

And, all y'all skipped right by this one...

So, if they have the support they claim, why not just pass a new law?

Easy-peasy

Right?

America has taken notice to the level of childish bullshiiit this administration gone to in attempting to stick all this on the GOP. It isn't working, actually DNC is going to see backlash.
Obama refuses to negotiate and suddenly he's out there lying through his teeth saying he is ready willing and able.

Polling must be saying they are losing the war......LOL
