Yes it did, prove me wrong!
Aldeady did.
Yes it did, prove me wrong!
Statement below made when the debt ceiling was 8 trillion..............just 7 years later, we're at almost 17 trillion!
“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government can’t pay its own bills. ... I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.”
— Then-Sen. Barack Obama, <a data-xslt="_http" href="http://www.gpo.gov/f...t1-PgS2236.pdf" target="_blank">floor speech in the Senate, March 16, 2006
Next!
Then show us what health care the ACA (obama care) creates...please
Thanks, show me a link to buy "obama care"
It's a real nowhere man
Living in Its nowhere land
Making all Its nowhere rules
For everybody
It's as blind as It can be
Just sees what It wants to see
(Sorry John... )

Isn't he a bit like you and me?
So, seriously...
I get that Cruz and his fellow TeaBaggers are just pulling all the stops to force the repeal or defunding or delay of the ACA
I get that Boehner & Co are between a rock and a hard place
Still...
If they are so sure that they are right, and that they have the support for this...
Why do they not employ the normal legislative process, introduce and pass a clean, separate, single-purpose bill to do that, get it passed, and if necessary, override the eventual veto?
Isn't that how the legislative process is described in the Constitution?
If they are right, and have the support they claim, it should be easy.
So, seriously, why all this bluster and refusal to fund the spending that they already ordered. They are willing to do that if they get their way, so why not do it, and just pass a law that says what they want it to say, re health insurance regulation?
There will be no new laws passed until the Just Ain't Right gets a bottle and a nap.
