Rick Perry - Elect Me...

You missed the part about why the comment period was offered in the first place. There was concern that states were applying rules inconsistently a the comments were solicited to see where and why. The response of the DOT was to offer guidance to the states so that they would apply the rules and regulations consistently. The outrage was due to false reporting by the media such as the site you used.

The bottom line is the Fed never had any intention of changing the regulations. Perry had bad information generated by false media reports based on rumors. And you cannot see the forest for the trees.

Gotta love the net.

Dell,

Since you have not responded I will assume that you now understand that the DOT never had plans to require farmers to have a CDL and that Perry was wrong regarding his accusation and that it came up because states were actually applying the federal regulations inconsistently and that the pubic comment was to get examples from the farmers. Since you offered no proof to the contrary I will assume this matter is resolved?

Not to mention Dr Ron Paul! When you see a guy who is essentially a pure Libertarian polling at 13% and you're a progressive be very frightened.

He's a pure Libertarian? Well if that's the case I'm waiting for him to announce as President that the primary goal of a Paul Administration would be the elimination of Medicare, Social Security, Pell Grants, unemployment benefits, etc, etc. You see it's real easy to pound your fist on the table saying that Iran has no air force that can attack us, we need to mind our own business and we need to cut the defense budget. That's not going to cost you many votes. However when you start talking about the issues that I mentioned things change very quickly.

My guess is he will not. That means he's not a Libertarian or he is but he knows speaking about those issues will cost him votes. Which of course would mean he's just another politician saying, or not saying, whatever it takes to get elected.

Perry graduated Texas A&M in 1972 with a 2.22 GPA, earning a bachelor's degree in animal science.

Another bible thumping idiot from Texas.
