Records show the Republican National Committee dropped $1,946 at a West Hollywood, Calif. strip club last month, but a spokesperson insisted that RNC chairman Michael Steele was not among the ooglers.

That's a lot of dollar bills and booze for a night out isn't it? Never been to one so I do not know what the going rate is for a night of topless dancing and drinks.

"The chairman was never at the location in question, he had no knowledge of the expenditure, nor does he find the use of committee funds at such a location at all acceptable," said RNC spokeswoman Doug Heye, who added that the committee was investigating the expenditure.

Unfortunately if you get a named source from the RNC saying that it happened but Steel was not in attendance I guess that means it really did happen and the RNC really did pick up the tab and there really are people working for the RNC who like these joints and think it is OK to expense the entertainment to a group who espouses family values at every turn. OK, granted these folks are soon to be (if not already) former RNC employees but this is still too funny.

Meh, i couldn't be any less outraged. I would still consider a republican (or even all the catholic priests in the world, good or bad) before any consideration towards the people that are currently in the majority in DC. The chances of this story getting any traction outside the liberal crybabies like Huffpoo, Olberman, etc., is zero.

First it has already been debunked by the blog who scooped the story, dailycaller.com Steele had nothing to do with it. Regarding my reference in this not gaining traction, i was referring to the voters. Naturally the leftist MSM will run this repeatedly thinking it will somehow sway a voter back to the Dem side. It wont. What the Dems are doing and have been doing are far worse. But good luck trying to massage this one into the ground.

Never thought of the National review and Fox as leftist but what ever floats your boat. Left or right won't change for much. It's the independents such as my self who are affected by articles like these. We are the ones who are thought after by the left or right to win.

I just happen to be socially liberal. That is the only reason I can tollerate the dem BS more so than the Rep BS.
