iSi! If the company could agree to a fair rotating reserve system, I'd go for it. I have 20 years and could possible go on full reserve in the coming months. So I'd rather know that I am on reserve in March for 5 days and again in July for 5 days.i think if we could have lines built with 4 or 5 reserve days a month, then it could really work. you know ahead of time the days you have to commit to, so there wouldn't be any surprises.
at the last union meeting, we were all saying to propose a system like the one you described allegehnyvista- but mike flores said "it would never go over" so he doesn't even want to bring it up. we were all there telling him "a lot of us want it, bring it up" and he had no interest in it at all. isn't he supposed to be representing ALL of us, or is he in cahoots with carol austin and only worried about the top bh's? :down:Great idea! At my previous airline, we had what were called "built-up lines". You had a combo of trips and maybe 5-6 reserve lines a month. It worked very well.
it was brought up that we do an official online survey about the issue and he kept going in circles trying to answer without answering the question. at times, our union is our own worst enemy. :down:If Mike thinks it won't go through, the only way to do it is put out an official survey.....
Would you support rotating reserve?
yes or no
If the majority says NO, then we drop it. If the majority says YES then they MUST come up with a system

How much is this worth to you, in lower pay and benefits?I am not comfortable with Brother and Sister Union Members making poverty wages or working 25 days a month to make a decent income.
