Vote YES and be a scab, or Vote NO and be a hero? U.S.AIR Mechanic's don't be scabs like the mechanics here at AA. You guys have a chance to redeem yourselves, a chance I wish would happen to us here at AA.

I agree that the mechanics or the TWU union leadership at AA have no guts to challenge management.

I hope U mechanics can make a goal line stand. This MIGHT give some of the other mechanics and their unions some courage to also make a stand against airline management.
It appears that Airline Unions are only in name only.

TWU= Totally Without Union

hey boi...what you going to do if dealt a dose of jaw dropping reality....
you and dorothy going to click your heals and say no place like home,no place like home....
aparently its ok for slime like you to throw 848 utility and some 800 mechanics and some 200 stock clerks under the bus just to save your turncoat butt.
i'll swallow under any circumstance
remember the last time....it was going to pass and it didn't...people are more upset this time and you know damn well this won't get us out of the woods and they'll be knocking next fall.....just look at UAL.
this union official recommends a no vote on the proposal and a yes vote to strike

Right on DELLUDE, NO on contract and HELL YES to STRIKE !!!!! "Capt. I think we sprung a leak", We're taking on water!!!!!

Delldude

I dont understand something here. lets say the vote goes no on contract/yes to stike. Company goes under, evryone out of a job. How is that winning anything? The people that get the boot we'll be booted anyway! Why not take the severence/flying priv/some sick/some medical, and go, man! Like a previous poster said, those that would remain, if that was the case, they will be left in a virtual hell hole!!!! You know what it's like there, I knew what it was like!! Why not get SOMETHING out of the bast@#$%!!! I don't see it as selling anyone out, this has nothing to do with "honor", or "standing up" to management! Hell, you guys shut it down, you would be responsible for 25,000 other people out of work!! How is this standing proud?? There may actually may be some people that want to stay, though I don't understand why! Besides, it gets shut down, EVERY employee LOSES, while upper management takes there split, moves on, and use their "buddy system" to land another job ruining a new set of employees!!! I may be wrong, but I fail to see the logic in yours', and others' thinking!! GOOD DAY!!!!!

anybody notice how suddenly the doors been open for all sorts of legal motions since U has made moves in BK?
we let the door open by buying into these management contract scams and now the world is going to pay for our ignorance.... and lack of fortitude.....

late word from CLT is mechanic base staffing in the 200 area......737 work moving there......rising tide of anti-proposal sentiment....
boys in PHL see the surfs up and they're jumping on the anti-proposal tidal wave....

Your sources are wrong. There will be several hundred more CLT based mechs.

I have heard many positive remarks from the various IAM members. Stop spreading negativity on this board. It won't work. The majority will vote in this contract.

Sorry to keep bothering you Hawk, but I have another question? Sitting here with the company highlight sheet in front of me I see the company states there will be "700 base maintenence mechanics" if this goes through. I may be poor in math but if there is to be base maintenence in both Pit and Clt how do you come up with at leat 700 in CLT?

I don'y know if this will pass or not but as I stree to everyone, no matter how you are voting just make sure you do. Hate to see the results one way or another with the swing persons not bothering to even vote!!!

Hawk is not a mechanic. ap tech, he didn't mention 700 clt mechanics either. I don't know or care what the numbers will be here in PIT as I am ready for my retirement this year. I will vote YES. I thank the company for allowing us to vote on their final offer. Most of my union brothers in Hangar 5 are voting yes. There is a growing support for the proposal.

it will pass cause the old f**ks ready to retire don't really care what happens to anyone behind them and the iam only cares about getting some dues even if it drags down the profession. The few that remain should look at replacing the iam dues collecting factory and everyone else should consider a class action lawsuit against the iam for fraudulently trying to pose as a union.

You people F87ed over everyone and then have the balls to come on here with your garbage. You pmed me once and told me you worked at Eastern, well that I believe that looking at the events occurring at U. I am gone and shutting it down would mean no flying privileges, guess what I am 100% with delldude, you and your cronies should go back where you came from, hell, and make it fast!

I refuse to pay anymore boards dues therefore I am gone forever and I hope U is too. Screw them hard!

Curt__ over and out.

why don't you take the 3-1-05 tickler then?
growing tide in utility not happy at selling their jobs for $12,000.
tide may be big enough to flatten the island if enough apathetic ones don't vote. 😉
