714 was showing canx PIT-SJU-IAD today (I didnt check on any further flights) with a problem different than the one being discussed here shown as the reason in the RGOM.

714 had a altimeter problem at the gate, but sending it back to base maintenance was a little bit over overkill. Everyone gets excited because it came out of base.

716 is sitting in the CLT hangar due to a declared emergency for a flaps locked message. The same ones that we had earlier.
I am surprised 700UW missed posting it. 😉

Wha wha what...you mean an airbus coming out of an inhouse IAM certified S check declared an emergency landing for flaps and landed hot?

Amazing, not even a peep from 700UW, or 714US, or 716UW...

told you before.....if we put every one out in perfect condition,Bronner flips so we let a few go so MAE doesn't look like the bunch of goobers they really are.

And still no comment from 700? Why I would have bet the farm he would have had some comment about this.

Because I do not know the details of what transpired, but I am so glad you are all waiting on baited breath about what I think.

You all need to get some hobbies.

Awe, come on......now if this was a Bama airplane, I just know you would have so much to say, details or not.

Returning to the field for a door leak is not the same as 5 emergency landings.

See an emergency landing involves calling out the fire departement and having the F/As prepare the Passengers for an emergency, not just a simple landing.

Was it an emergency landing with fire trucks waiting for them?

There is a big differance when you RTF then RTF declaring an emergency.

Why don't you ask some the of the F/As that participate on this board what a passenger's reaction is on the pilots declaring an emergency then just returning to the field for a minor maintenance issue.

I have been on flights that returned to the field for a non-emergency mtc issue and it did not bother or the other passengers, when we landed there was another plane waiting for us to board, no fire trucks, no evacuation, no emergency.

Big differance.

Hmmm, seems your previous arguements and ability to sluff things off just won't apply anymore.

And who are you that you think I have to answer to you?

Like I said, I do not know the details, therefore I won't comment on it.

And jack mama, since when does the IAM certify an S-Check?

How long before you get some details?

I have plenty. But since I am not a dead end martyr like you, I won't tell the open audience on here my companie's issues. In-house or vendored.

For somebody with almost 6000 opinions, who is on here so often, I find it hard to believe you would offer anybody the advice to get some hobbies.

since I am a certified IAM mechanic(which is good for nothing union )should be changed to GFN, the dinosaurs in clt did their best lumbering around the A/C but when you come out of the seat shop, coffee maker shop as we say you get what you pay for, at least those things worked right any way they must have been distracted becuse 700 uw on his podium ranting and raving how he and the IAM were saving jobs (IE) his so when you pay peanuts you get monkeys

Please show me where it says IAM Certified on your A&P license, last time I checked the FAA is who certified you as a AMT, not the IAM.

And go look at AMFA at NW, down 50% of the mechanic workforce and look at what AMFA just did at UAL.

And I don't work in PIT where the S-Checks are performed.

Once again don't let the facts get in your way.

What at minute there good buddy AMFA didn't do anything, as you fighting machnists like to say the members did it! You don't blame the IAM for loosing most of it's covered work, and members at U. You can't blame AMFA for whats happening at United and Northwest then either fair is fair. The problem is the IAM, AMFA, IBT and everybody else is to concerned about dues and not enough about the people they represent. These groups need to sit down togather and address the issues that the aviation industry is facing but they would rather bash each other and continue to watch their memberships decline! There is a reason that union membership is at an all time low all across the USA. They are tired of paying for poor representation and watching their pay and benefits decline while the union CEO'S get fatter and fatter. Question with all the pay cuts that IAM represented airline personel and job cuts they have endured has anyone in Upper Marlboro taken a paycut or been layed off? See we complain about CEO's getting high pay for poor performance but yet we don't complain when International Presidents get high pay for poor performance. All of labor has to come togather and start listening to each other especially in todays enviroment or their will be no labor left. Management is changing the way they do business, labor unions better start changing the way they do business and soon!!
