Should 700uw Change Names

Wait a minute now. This topic was brought back to life because another one of our 319's had a flap fault and declared and emergency. The same fault that other of our Airbus' had. It was a reminder to 700UW that one should not throw stones.

Start a new topic if you want to discuss union or management issues. I am waiting for 700's justification. He may even copy/paste some old note from AOG-N-IT or something.

Please show me where it says IAM Certified on your A&P license, last time I checked the FAA is who certified you as a AMT, not the IAM.

Why not look at your own A&P license????

Oh, that's right. You're not an AMT -- you're a lav dumper. Your certification is the perpetual blue stain on your hands... 😀

As I said above, "both the contractors and US Airways employees do a great job and they both can make mistakes."

I wish that were true, but if you knew the honest truth it would scare the crap out of you. They(the contractors) are now a 100 % buyback hanger for a reason the FAA can explain. You can tell yourself whatever you want, you should talk to some other people than the ones in CCY. Time will tell if the cost savings were worth the price.

Stock clerk AKA Lav Dumper. Stores the last great scam of the IAM

Scam?

Last time I checked the company controls that division and EVERY airline has stock clerks.

Company has to have stock clerks because of tighter inventory control due to Sarbanes-Oxley.

Once again, don't let the facts get in your way.

I'm having a flashback. They don't happen as much as they used to, and I miss them.

A lav truck pulls up on a gate in CLT, the driver is hitting on a very cute ramper (a female). Every one else is getting a kick out of the guy driving a honey wagon trying to pick up chicks, oblivious to smelling like the load he is carrying.

Was that you?

Every airline has a stock clerk FUNCTION, but it doesn't mean that every airline has or will continue to have stock clerks as an insourced function. If you can outsource the AMT's job and have a non-employee signing off the logbook, certainly you can outsource the person who is checking out tools, spares/rotables, etc. and assigning them to a tail number or work card in the computer...

I don't stick my pen in company ink.

How long before you get some details?

I have plenty. But since I am not a dead end martyr like you, I won't tell the open audience on here my companie's issues. In-house or vendored.

thats ok dude , i will...looky here:
The strangest things have been happening since Feb. 28th. If you have any good stories, please bring them by so we can share them with everyone.

These people need a $55,000,000 retention bonus?

· We now send seats out for overhaul. When they come back to go on the airplane…10 seats need to be MEL’d. How about paint that never dries? Did this ever happened when we did the work?

· Seven evacuation slides have been waiting in Stores for 1 MONTH to have paperwork done. At least 10 management people have been by to evaluate this rare airline phenomenon. Nobody can explain it!

· How about 34 torque wrenches farmed out for calibration 29 wrenches needed nothing, just a sticker. COST----$100 per wrench!!!!!!

· Try and explain this.Tool room isn’t under maintenance anymore.Yet, there’s a Mtc. Manager, 3 Maintenance Foreman and 2 ad-min reps. There’s also 1 stores foreman. Oh, by the way, we only have a total of 10 stores clerks in all the tool rooms. 7 management – 10 workers! Oh yes, and now they have a budget 5 times greater then before!!!

· Wheels and Brakes! We’re robbing wheels from Heavy Mtc. aircraft for the line because we don’t have any stock. What are we going to do when it gets hot?

same old story, same old song.......hope judge parker can straighten this out....
remember judge parker don't ya??

What's your point dell?
My question to 700 was regarding if he looked into why 716 had problems and the fact that it had the same issues as a vendored out aircraft (retf with emergency vehicles called out).
You posted true and accurate ineffiencies that we still encounter everyday within our company, but it doesn't help 700.
Let him not answer for himself when he gets real facts pointed out to him.
Thanks for the update though.
