The TSA is going ahead with their Registered Traveler program, which lets previously vetted passengers board an airplane much more quickly.

Many of us airline employees were subjected to very stringent background checks, so it seems natural that we should be grandfathered in as Registered Travelers without the fees, forms and waiting the program entails.

I wonder if any of our bosses or unions are thinking along those lines.

I agree with you that we, as Airline Employee's, should be Grandfathered in, but since our Bosses are more worried about the Bottom Line, I doubt they care. IMHO, If there is an Employee line at a Security checkpoint, they move rather quickly. I just wish the TSA would get their shirt together and set the damn machines consistant. I was wanded in SAV b/c 2 Bic Hotel pens set off the damn alarm as I walked thru. Now THAT is a bit much!
