I only rember the drive for cards...........5, 6 years ago. I wasn't there at the "beginning" of the union drive for mechanics.

AMFA wasn't even part of the question. Some people were pushing IAM. The only union to represent AWA Mechanic and Related is the IBT.
i thought you mentioned losing heavy chk's under amfa before IBT was in...right??
Same reason why you guys had a card drive for

i thought you guys mentioned outsourcing from a previous non IBT contract...i thought it was under amfa...if not amfa who was before IBT?

There was no mechanics union before IBT.......it's the one and only.
well then why did some of the AWA mechs on here make claims as to outsourcing gone out the door due to someone (i don't recall name)before??

It was Bill Franke ( our old CEO)who shut down the hanger and layed off over 500 techs to try and stop us from voting in the IBT. we had some drives for amfa start but they told us they were to busy for us they were working on united and aa at the time this was just after southwest went to them.

sounds like its time for a rather large number of sheeple to Vote...none of the above. it's time they cast off that curly coat that they think was protecting them. there is intelligent life out there and not all pay union dues.
i agree there homie...but in this time in this industry i feel a union may be the best choice for all.....if not,with the stroke of a pen jobs outsourced right now...no contest.
