Somewhere in all of this...

Though not the largest, greatest or complex airline,the current management from AWA are definately in over their heads and it shows in every single corner and department of this airline. The company had a better operational performance in BK than it does today. What they have done to our international flights (reconfig and 757reconfig joke) is absolutely horrible. I would NEVER fly usairways if I experienced what many if not MOST of our customers are experiencing now. Tempe....PLEASE let someone else handle this. I only HOPE for a merger. Bring it on because I find it truly hard to believe that any other team could do this poorly. I can't wait to watch the crew news sessions filmed in CLT today.
 
a big problem with PHL ALL stems back to management. THEY choose the folks that drive tugs into rivers and such. Choose your employees more carefully and pay them a bit more and maybe, just MAYBE they'd care. These folks have absolutely NO time invested in our company and couldn't possibly care less. The pay is horrible and they get treated like $H!T. I wouldn't do it....NO THANKS. I love the referral money they are offering if an employee knows someone interested in working for Usairways. Some enemies maybe. :lol:

The ones they replaced that were earning more than a current E190 Pilot didn't care much either.

I've been flying in and out of PHL for 19 years and little, if any, has changed.

It's just Philly and I agree, it can't be fixed.
 
Philly pre BK compared to today is definately worse today. Yes Philly has always been a thorn in our side but what is going on today is insane. Doing two 4 day trips on the 737 in the past two weeks gives you a true impression of just how BAD it really is there.
 
It's a shame, but I don't even recommend family or freinds to fly on US.....why would I recommend them to work here! I don't hate anybody that much! :lol:
 
What the employees of USAirways, and many other businesses, are in the process of doing is giving their respective managements the corrections to the educations they received in their MBA training. They were taught that employees can be reduced to a spreadsheet entry. We are trying to prove that MBA professor wrong. And that's what's confounding Doogie and others like him. They are not prepared by their MBA to face the reality of their situation, and they don't have the training to understand it, let alone fix it.

With respect to PHL, though, I can't imagine why Doogie would be inclined to change the pay structure to attract a better class (as relates to work ethic) of employee. Anyone who walks through the PHL concourses served by USAirways and Express can see that it is teeming with passengers pouring their hard-earned dollars into Doogies pocket. As long as they continue to do that in the droves that we see now, why spend any more money?
 
I think that upper management knows that there is serious problems with the operation. It's to a point now that they are probably sitting around a table trying to figure out where to start first. I certainly wouldn't wanna be in their shoes. They put us here. The employees didn't. I wouldn't even want to show my face. I think the quiet period we are seeing is possibly a combo of the said above as well as something bigger going on. We are basically in limbo it feels. I ask myself, "Who are we, what are we, where are we going and most importantly WHO the hell is at the controls". It was not this bad in our darkest days of two BK's. Thats the truth. 🙄
Very True. Way too quiet from the den of thieves......and you can bet they are up to NO GOOD. Wolf was a professional b*st*rd (just like Crandall at AA) but at least they knew HOW to run an airline. Something IS going on behind the scenes or if they really are that CLUELESS, I would like to volunteer to be on the Executive FIRING Squad!

Pretty much sums up EVERYTHING outside of those airsickness bags with the swoosh that say "Advertise with US". So much for some BRIGHT idea at The BatCave.....and WHAT the hell is THAT all about anyways? Morons in Motion!
