From Miami, American is not eliminating flights to any destination, but it is reducing frequencies to 16 cities in Latin America and the Caribbean. In all, the airline is canceling 56 weekly flights. Among the destinations affected are San Juan, Puerto Rico; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Cancun; Paris; San Jose, Costa Rica; Rio de Janeiro; Sao Paulo; and Maracaibo, Venezuela.
The cancellations will follow those that took effect in April, when American reduced frequencies from Miami to Belize City, Panama City and Guatemala City
