Will the current US aircraft in Star Alliance livery be re-painted, or will the Star Alliance paint scheme stay?

Paint stays, 767 coming soon.

Are there any mainline aircraft getting the new paint job now?

No.....there are no a/c in paint at this time. I believe the paint track starts again in Nov when we come off the high season for Europe.

One of the stipulations in the Star contract is that a certain percentage of your aircraft must be in the Star livery. Ours was about 9 but will increase with the increased number of aircraft (12?).

The E170 that is not flown by US Airways employees but by replacement workers is sadly in the Star Alliance scheme.

I heard that all of the previous HP 757 theme planes will be painted in the new livery when they are scheduled for painting. To bad, those planes are really cool. Well, we do have some cool heritage ones coming. I always wondered why the A-330 which is definately our flagship has never been painted in the star alliance livery.

Their paint cycle hasn't come up yet.

Ahhh yeah, that makes sense. I think the 330 will look good as other airlines do. They should do a new "Teamwork" plane of some type too.

Travelpro has a great idea....."theme" planes should stay and I would actually like to see more if they are done tastefully (Las Vegas Strip, Universal Studios, Disney, GO Caribbean and Hawaiian Islands and of course the professional Team partnerships) These are very beneficial promotional opportunities that I hope THIS NEW Management will explore (something the Old US was oblivious too). Piedmont used to name their planes "Pacemakers" and PSA had "Smileliners". With the broad network we how serve we could name aircraft by State (Great State of Ohio) in addition to all the countries we serve in Canada/Mexico/ Europe/The Americas.....this would appeal more to the travelling public than the Heritage planes that are already in the works (this is merely an internal attempt to pacify a conglomeration of other carriers that make up the New US). MAKE THE PRODUCT SELL ITSELF-use a little flash and pizzaz!

No fish though or lobsters on the tail representing New England. Maybe they can paint a Philly Cheese Steak down the side of the airplane to represent PHL. LOL... Seriously though, there are so many cool things they can do and hopefully they will explore the options.
