It's the Steelers' 75th anniversary this year. Wouldn't it be a cool idea to have the Steelers plane do a flyover of Heinz Field during a nationally televised game? Come on Tempe....advertising opportunity...

wait until you see the creative livery for the betty ford clinic aircraft...Being the misanthrope that I am, I have to say that the livery design on the A-319 for Pittsburgh is FREAKIN' FAR OUT, MAN!
What a cool design! Very simple. This is the technique that should be applied systemwide to EVERYTHING.
Simple and cool.
I think somewhere on the aircraft it should say "Pittsburgh" Steelers ? Thoughts ?

How many times will they have to take to "Paint it Right" the first try?Being the misanthrope that I am, I have to say that the livery design on the A-319 for Pittsburgh is FREAKIN' FAR OUT, MAN!

The Steelers plane will be one of the most popular liveries out there, mainly because of what it represents. Steeler fans are EVERYWHERE and wear the Black & Gold with pride like no else. Many teams have people ready to jump on the Bandwagon when a team has a great season, but that is NOT the case with the Steelers. The fanbase is always there.....the City is focused on Steelermania and Black & Gold is everywhere, its woven into every aspect of the region. It really is amazing and hard not to get caught up in it. The Steelers represent the pinnacle of sports and I wouldn't be surprised to see the faithful BOW when that plane is rolled outand you can bet it will be FRONT PAGE NEWS.....get your Towels READY!
I like it, very cool but simple (as expected) design. From what I understand both the Steelers and Panthers 319's are to be painted in late August, early September, and at start of NFL Season. While most people from around the country and Carribean who will see this aircraft know what and who the Steelers are I think somewhere on the aircraft it should say "Pittsburgh" Steelers ? Thoughts ?
