Not that anyone seems to really care, But I saw a piece on this where the Teacher in Question has been suspended. Civil Liberties and Freedom of speech issues aside the interchange would have been the PERFECT time to create a learning point regarding where the line is currently drawn as to what is free speech when discussing a Political Figure and what is considered a threat. There is a stark and distinct difference and had the woman been a competent teacher she had an excellent learning point handed to her but was to stupid to capitalize on it.

This is what happens when there is no accountability to local administration or parents. Yes it's easy to blame unions and these type of things are really what Scott Walker is talking about in WI and that's why the Unions are totally going ballistic. The idea that a union would have to compete year after year to represent a group and actually provide something of value to its members is frightening to the NEA & AFT among others.

I can virtually guarantee these two "educators" are in a classroom somewhere, someplace this very day.

Although yours is an interesting article, we need to look at the big picture. Spending may be slower, but what is actually doing it? If Bush, for example, spent more on the military, and Obama is cutting military, his spending will go down. From my window, whatever his spending is, I don't see the economy getting better.

Jeez I don't know that to be true. My dear friend who is very much a lady AND an African American started her career the same day I did. Now she is having lunch with the President, invited as one of the 50 leading African American women in the US. She works her ever loving assets off and is now reaping the rewards based upon her merit and hard work.

What made her different wasn't her pigmentation, it was her drive to succeed. Something that is never factored into the equation by Gooberment. No class envy here as I'm quite proud of her. If I shared her drive and ambition then I'd be in a different place.

There was a program on TV a few years ago where a white family was made up to look black and vice versa. Turns out, contrary to popular belief that being black is not quite as easy as everyone makes it out to be. Go figure.
