What's new

teamsters Renege on CWA

I have been IAM too, not for as long as you but long enough to know not to trust them any further than I can spit backwards. I trust Parker more than them and that ain't even measurable.

Gee who is lying? Not I, the proof is on the CWA's web page!

CWA NET
Once again, don't let the FACTS get in your way!

700, I thought you were smarter than that. Think anout it... this is from the cwa, they are pandering to there's as the iam is pandering to you.

Even if some of the PAST policies, they state were true it would only have affected HP. now that the agreement has the cut-off date is past, no dates will be changed, the only affected ones would be the HPer's
example of a typical dovetail, say 2 to 1 ratio. put the top 2 US on the new list, then the top HP, regardless of how #1 on the HP list got there, the next 2 US would go on. so the only one affected migth be HP #2, if #1 was giving it by mistake. Still HP #2 will start out as #6 on the new list and did'nt even have a say in it...

Ihope you can understand that, or are the broom handles clogging your sight.

Your choice is your own...please respect my choice.

I'm not bashing the IAM. I was represented (?) by them and my view of them is they are to be trusted right before the devil himself. Well maybe third in place....devil first, Al second, then IAM. I was in F/S before retiring. Maybe they do okay for Maint....after all they are a mechanic's union. They did nothing for me in a small station. I don't trust them...don't like them...would not recommend them for anything. If they are all you have to protect you and your family, you are in trouble, my brother. I honestly feel they are part of the reason I am where I am. It was retire or be outsourced... and the IAM helped the company achieve that.

Gee amazing how mad the HP people get when they are called out trying to get seniority they have not accrued.

Not so much. Perhaps they want the same relative seniority they had before Parker lashed the titanic to their airline.

Why should somebody in a shared station who is on top of the HP-side list lose so much as a shift because the people at that station from US-East have been there forever?

That person's expectation was to continue to have their first choice of X. And they should continue to get it.

I WILL NOT BASH THE IBT...BECAUSE I THINK THEY ARE A FINE UNION ALSO...
IN FACT ALL UNIONS ARE GOOD IN MY EYES...AT LEAST WE HAVE UNIONS THAT REPRESENT ALL OF HARD WORKING AMERICANS AND I THANK GOD FOR ALL OF THEM....SO TO ALL UNIONS THANKYOU...FOR DOING WHAT YOU ALL DO...IF NOT FOR YOU THEN WE ALL WOULD BE IN TROUBLE....TO ME THE UNIONS OF THIS UNITED STATES ARE ALL IN NEED OF A HUGE THANKYOU FROM US ..

PLEASE DONT BASH THEM....THERE ALL WE HAVE TO PROTECT OUR FAMILYS......

I expected to:
...be able to work until I wanted to retire

...have decent medical coverage after retirement

...have my retirement coming from US, not from PBGC

...be able to board when non-reving using my 38 + years of senority

...I could go on.

Truth is, we don't always get ANY of what we expect, or thought we would/should get. No-one knows how this will work out either. Throwing grenades at each other won't change a thing. Whatever is worked out, will make some happy...some very un-happy. Rejoice in the knowledge that the IAM has no input (or if they do...weep!)

I really enjoy how things that are about customer service ALWAYS turn into something about the mechanics! Cracks me up...

In any case...as someone who is with customer service, as long as I keep my job, do whatever with seniority, just do NOT staple my group, which I know won't happen. Would I like to stay in the top 1/3 of ALL agents on the global seniority list? You bet your bottom dollar I would! Do I EXPECT that to happen? Not on your life. It would be a pleasant surprise if that were to happen with only 6 years of service. Many of us here in our neck of the woods only see East agents with MANY MANY years of service to US. I believe the most jr. agent has 17 years. However, after actually talking to nonrevvers from other US stations, I realize it's SOOOO not the norm. I know I could go to CLT/PHL/PIT or any other large station if there was an opening and enjoy a decent shift or days off. However, I wouldn't be able to transfer out there and just bump someone out of a job, just like they cannot do that to us!

Don't count on holding a decent shift in PIT with less than well over 20 years.

20 years in PIT will get you a good part-time shift.
