Saw a Ted plane take off from DCA today, seemed an odd choice for a 'high-yield' airport. Is this normal or was it a swap.

It was a routing issue and aircraft sub. for a mainline airplane. No TED at DCA on a regular basis.

I thought perhaps it was a less-than-subtle demonstration of support for "Ted" Kennedy! 😀

There are also a few mainline(two cabin) aircraft in the system already sporting TED liveries. Eventually they'll be converted to a single-class TED configuration.
