Ted Cruz Announces

If Obama wasn't too busy with the second term of being President thing, he would probably be important enough to argue a case in front of a justice that he appointed.
777fixer is the one that made the claim Cruz is somehow not well read. I merely stated that you don't get the chance to argue (and win) in front of the SCOTUS by being someone who isn't.

Apparently that just sent you howling monkeys into fits and convulsions.

lol

You must have missed my post a month or so ago where I said that Cruz was the smartest in the bunch. He is also the least scary of the crazies. I sincerely think that he is only pandering and is too intelligent to believe some of the crap he says on the trail.

Once he gets the nomination, he will pivot and then find a moderate VP ass kisser pick to temper the middle.

And then he will lose to Hillary.

Are you sure that is what he said? I read his statement and I think you got confused.

http://therightscoop.com/why-ted-cruz-proposed-the-legalization-of-illegals-during-the-gang-of-8-bill/

This video pretty well lays out exactly why Cruz proposed his amendment to the Gang of 8 bill that Rubio and the rest of the Establishment are trying their damnedest to paint Cruz as For illegals getting full amnesty.

Cruz's amendment was a poison pill, it would have denied them citizenship and hence , the right to vote any time soon, like 20+ years. THat makes it a non starter for Rubio and the rest of the gang of 8.

You see , the one and only reason the left wants these folks to be legal is so they can then register them all to vote the next day.
Take away the right to vote and they are no longer interested in making them otherwise legal and "out of the shadows".

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/263544-fox-news-anchor-confronts-cruz-with-2013-remarks-on-immigration

The anchor then played a speech Cruz made in 2013 promoting his amendment to an immigration reform measure in which he called on people of good faith on both sides of the aisle to pass a bill that allows those that are here illegally to come in out of the shadows.

Asked to respond to the clip, Cruz said his amendment would remove citizenship.

The fact that I introduced an amendment to remove part of the Gang of Eight bill doesnt mean I support the rest of the Gang of Eight bill, he added.

But Baier replied with a series of statements Cruz made in 2013 that indicated he wanted the rest of the bill to pass. He quoted the Texas Republican calling the legislation the compromise that can pass and saying if my amendment were adopted, this bill would pass.

Cruz stammered in his response, saying that of course I wanted my amendment to pass. ... It doesnt mean I supported other aspects of the bill.

The problem, though, is that at the time you were telling people ... this was not a poison pill, Baier said in response. You said you wanted it to pass at the time. Looking back at what you said then, and what you said now, which one should people believe?

Watch this video and you will see how he is flipping on what he actually did.

Great video , and Cruz explained himself perfectly, the very last response summed it up when Bair asked him to explain why he didn't say it was a poison pill to other folks at the time and he simply responded by Saying, (paraphrasing), "look, I proposed 5 amendments, not just that one , and THEY ALL pointed out the hypocrisy of the Democrat Party on amnesty".
In other words, of course it was a poison pill.

And let's review,
Rubio: part of the gang of eight, proposed full amnesty AND citizenship for illegals and
voted FOR the bill

Cruz: proposed amendments that would make it untenable for the Dems to pass it
And
Voted AGAINST the bill

That's really all you need to know about this, but, this whole episode is very educational for any and all who think that Cruz is in any way shape or form, Establishment.

He's being hammered by the E because they couldn't stomach him in the WH, why too conservative for their tastes.

Jeb was their guy but he's been wholly rejected by everyone , so Rubio is next in line.
The problem is Cruz is better on all the issues with conservative voters, which counts in primaries.

So a Washington outsider (Senator) uses tried and true old school political maneuvers while talking out of both sides of his mouth, all while taking donations from the biggest Washington lobby firms.

Yep, that is not establishment.

News flash. They are all "establishment" or they would never have been elected to the Senate or have become a governor.

Obviously, you're not keeping up with current events.

The Establishment is. attacking him from all sides, to no effect I might add.
