Temporary Injunction against USAPA filed today

Maybe it's never dawned on you, but what we do around here to make money is haul people and cargo around in aluminum tubes. It's called Flight Operations.

Everything else is a support function of that...get used to it.

He has the worst case of sidestick envy I've ever seen. He doesn't like pilots, but he comes on the part of the board absolutely infested with them. Now, I know everyone is welcome...as it should be.

BUT, if you don't like bikers, why go to a biker bar?

Guess you dont realize maintenance can and does make money via contract work, without carrying one passenger or one pound of cargo.

US use to overhaul other carriers in CLT, its called third party work.

So try again.

Are we overhauling any other carriers anymore?

During BK II, on the M&R NC we had a split, we had those on my side who wanted to tell the people to vote no, the PIT delegation and one member of CLT were dead set against it, so the chips fell where they did.
And what happen to IAM arbitration awards of the pass? attendance, airbus, and 401K? Those awards do not exist NOW… the articles that exits NOW were negotiated
And please don’t talk about fruit

Once again you compare apples to oranges, the CBA was abrogated, that is how the were changed, it took a bankruptcy court to change it, not negotiated away.

But I have told you this time after time after time, and yet you keep posting incorrectly.

No more overhaul, but they do contract line mtc.

And 50% of all mtc must be done inhouse.

I asked you a question that you have yet to answer, yet you say someone can't debate!?

PI- 700UW has a pathological obsession and comes on here accusing pilots of cleaning planes. He doesn t work here anymore. You probably subsidized him and his co workers health insurance payments with your givebacks. Of course, since you went in the military, went to college, earned your licenses to fly makes his case that you earn more, so you should pay more. Now you not only get blamed for cleaning planes, you are expected to pick up the tab because he made the choices he did in life. I am with Harry Callahan. Block. Because he constantly re appears to engage the next round of "victims" he needs to blame for his failures. We all got swept up in this mess, he just chooses to attack you because he got replaced in a minute by some poor dude from Haiti looking for a job also. So when you were on the radio when you couldn't depart because the jet didn't get cleaned, or they were doing a "no hitter" in PHL that day and the lav stunk, this dude was probably cruising around with a clipboard taking names because he was on a mission from God about some 1 or 2 pilots who picked up a newspaper. Good riddance 700 UW!

Do the Math, you make the most, and cost the company the most so you take the brunt of the concessions, and in BK II we in M&R had 46% of the workforce laidoff, that isnt chump change.

Also we gave over a billion dollars in the first BK and much more in the second.

Its just like taxes the more you make the more you should pay.

You wont get sympathy from any other work group, we all gave what the company asked and then some.

Here is the bottom line. While you were getting your stuff together, studying, flying, this guy was doing God knows what. Now that you got your job, and make more, he won't look at you, talk to you, ignores you. Met someone like this on the line? Sound familiar? Now you need to pay for him too with more givebacks. . Quoted from above- 700 UW "IT'S JUST LIKE TAXES THE MORE YOU MAKE THE MORE YOU SHOULD PAY..." SO GET ON OUT THERE BOYS! Make that money so you can pay 700UW! Anything else we can do for you today? Cut the lawn, pay for the orthodontist? Just because you got replaced overnight isn't anybodys fault but your own.

Yeah, I know. Isn't it funny he can't answer about the pilot's obligation to negotiate for non-union employees?

I kept wondering why he was talking about pilots cleaning in the 30 day cooling off period, then it hit me. That's when they were, how should I put this, working to the rule? Couldn't get anyone to park us, couldn't find a cleaner etc.

His new job must not be much since he relives his glory days here.

Working to the rule. Makes sense. Now he accuses East pilots of an illegal job action when all they do is focus on safety. I guarantee he would fly your jet if he could. This guys talks out of both sides of his mouth, and another orifice. I clearly remember not getting parked, not getting cleaned, and the rest. Sounds like an illegal job action to me...............

Of course not. A lot of it is outsourced now. They don't even do all the work on LCC's own airplanes. Like BB, this guy loves to live the glory days of the past.

Maybe they do some on-call maintenance for other carriers where we have mechanics, but that would be very few stations. It is overwhelmingly counterbalanced by the number of LCC outstations where we have to hire other airline mechanics to do work for us. Probably 20-to-1 ratio.

in the time I have been at CLT I don't recall seeing them work on any other carriers AC, maybe once or twice when the plane was stuck here but certainly nothing regular. there is contract maintenance here for the other carriers that fly here.

Air South, Vanguard, Challenge Air Cargo and America West were all overhauled in the CLT MTC hangar, we had a dedicated third party bay and three shift work crew. Also I forgot the name of the airline, it was based in GSO or INT, Eastway or something like that, they had white and yellow planes.

50% of all overhaul must be done inhouse and this is audited by the IAM and the company.

And now it US just does contract line mtc at various stations.

And since you didnt work in the maintenance hangar you wouldnt know about the third party work we did with Rakesh blessing.

Also did component overhaul for other airlines in the shops in CLT and the landing gear and plating shops in INT.

We worked on 737s and 757s.

We had all of Valujet's overhaul set up to be done after they were allowed to fly again after the crash, but US didnt want the bad publicity of being associated with them.

We had a dedicated sales team of company and IAM members pitching our third party services to other airlines and leasing companies.

Just like the training center use to train pilots for other carriers and individuals.

The mind is a terrible thing to waste but just making up what you don't remember is even worse...

For those that have a hard time remembering, the IAM did go on strike after being released by the NMB. Didn't last long - 30 or so days - but nothing illegal about it.

Excuse me? Maybe your mind is too decrepit to remember the bogus things found on walk arounds, no one to meet the A/C, no answers to calls for a push back crew, etc., all BEFORE being released.

Anyone besides me remember those? I remember an invisible "crack" in a pitot tube.

You are correct about wasting a mind. Too bad you didn't take better care of yours.
