Mikey!! At least you can rest assured that it's not only happening on your side of the woods......It's happening here too  Take a look at this.
This was on the bulletin board at JFK, addressed to Steve Forte,Senior Vice President-Flight Operations:
Dear Captain Forte,
I just wanted to pass along my deepest appreciation for the tremendous gesture you and the wonderful executive team at United, have bestowed upon the employee group by waiving the service charge on two BP-8 passes. I know I speak for others when I say the employees are overwhelmed by this generous gift. After all we have been through lately, this sacrifice by United is almost too much too believe. I am humbled by your generosity.
I know this year has been tough on you and the management of UAL. My own contibuions to United such as my bump, pay cut, retirement cut, ESOP loss, medical premium cut, monthly guarantee reduction, reduced days off, vacation pay reduction, etc., can in no way compare to what you and those at the top have given up. It almost bring me tears to think that the bonus program for some our fine management team has been reduced. I hope that if and when we come out of the problems we are currently in, you give yourselves a nice big raise for all the fine work you are doing.
Sometimes when I am sitting in my airport hotel during a 19 hour layover, I think about you and the rest of the management team and how you suffer for our benefit. In the future, please take time to consider yourselves first, rather than those who work for you.
Thank you again for this generous token of your appreciation.
God bless you Steve Forte.
Sincerely, Captain Ben Tover
