The PHILLY Parking Pass Experience

Just to be clear, the 24 hours is appoinment, not walk-in... here was me thinking perhaps I could pop in at 230 one night after a night out, but before stopping at Wawa... leave the car running outside the terminal, in and out. Not so...
And your car was still there? Amazing. B)

They are rudest group in the parking pass office.
I was in there once (June 2005) to re-new my parking pass and witnessed one of the women totally go off on an employee who spoke broken english. He was trying to get his airport ID renewed and was trying very hard to comply with everything this woman was asking of him. He had an appointment, had all the required documentation, and had taken whatever test that was required. He didn't understand what she was asking him(I didn't even understand her, she was speaking so fast and unclear)so he pulled out his phone to call his boss, she freaked out and ripped his ID badge off him and told him he was rude and she would never issue him a badge again. His boss showed up a little while later to try and smooth things out, she took his ID also and threw them out of the office for "dissin" her.

You see what I mean? Who is responsible or in charge of that place? I don't understand how we have to be at the mercy of the morons that work in that office. Nasty, mean and totally out of line. Like you should be damn lucky to have a pass. Nothing but love all over. I'm sure there are those few that have had a pleasant experience. I can tell ya that I don't know anyone with a good word about it. I can't believe it has not been revamped and taken over. Does it HAVE to be so difficult?

Its funny how you form a bond with the people who are there at the same time. Its such a shared experience- you feel like you've been arrested sitting in those chairs! At first your giggling but then everyone jumps when she comes out to yell at someone! This poor lady that worked at Auntie Annes was near tears because her phone rang and the lady came and took it from her- you never know if shes joking or really a demented control freak.

Well I guess If I decide to go and do my pass during OPR I better keep my cell on vibrate and in my pocket... :mf_boff:

It's another fine job of what mayor john thug street has done to the biggest money maker for the city...the city should kiss the airlines arse they make more money for the city than any thing else...he is a crooked thug that should be in the slammer...his term is up soon not soon enough...most of the airlines problem lie with the city ie thug street and his other thug brother and there token airport director isdale...from the time gov rendell's term was over and the thug took over the airport and city have gone to hell...the airline is to blame for some of the bs in PHL but the big issue is the city and the way they rape the airport...why the media will not report the truth is a sin...if people bitched at the city the real problems could be delt with...mr street your a true thug put the money into fixing the jetways the leaky roof the nasty parking pass people...not you thug brother...all airport tennets should sue street and the city for the nasty workplace that tennets pay top dollor for...THUG THUG THUG hope the feds bust your sorry arse sooner than later...

Can't wait until the day Street is out of office and the Fed's are there to slap handcuffs on him. He is an embarrassment to this city. If people in this city don't start voting for the RIGHT PERSON to run this deplorable place instead of voting based on race..it will never change.

After many years I have learned to go into that place...sit down...shut up...make no eye contact...no conversation and obey all commands. It goes so much faster. But every year I get heartburn for that STUPID parking pass.

Sounds like a place we need one of those hidden camera 20-20 shows to visit.....

I just tried to renew my pass and had the GREAT pleasure of speaking with "operator 10". I have NEVER in my life been treated so horrible over the phone. Talk about speaking uneducated and rude. She in the conversation told me it was none of my business about the schedule and this conversation was over. I actually sat there for a minute in disbelief. Thinking, "Did this conversation just happen"? Am I the only one to dread renewing my pass? What an experience. There MUST be someone to complain to. We can't be at the mercy of "operator 10".

They are nasty and rude. It somewhat reminds me of the new ticket agents we have in Philly. Nevertheless, send an email or letter to Sue Stevens for Angela Pelochoud. They need to know we are being treated like this. Since they are higher up the totem pole, they can likely speak to someone about it.

good luck on that one...they have to get there pass as well, they are not going to risk there pass...the 20 20 show is a great idea the bowls of the airport is a nasty health hazard to all...all that work or use the airport should start a class action suite...the state should take over the airport...state rep Ron Raymond would like to see this happen...something needs to happen!!!
