The Wonders Of Alabama

Just received my November Dividend Miles E-Statement. Noticed this double miles offer. Wonder why they chose Alabama instead of somewhere I might actually like to go. You'd think the Daves would be worried about running an airline, but I guess they're too busy running great promotions like this.

This is Dr. Bronner being self-promoting at it's best...but here is some background info I've gotten via a PBS show.

The RSA is heavily invested in Alabama tourism , Golf and retirement communities. Bronners vision and RSA investments have increased Alabama's annual tourism income from 1.6 Billion Dollars less than 10 years ago to 6.2 billion annually at present.

Bronner is trying to lure future retiree's to Alabama Vs. the traditional retirement spots in Florida and Southern Texas. The communities and Golf courses are lavish from what I've seen....The goal is to shed themselves of the chew toobackie spit perception that many of us have of them.

I can't say that I'm wild about turning U into Ala-Bubba Airways...yet I can't fault someone for attempting to get added returns for his states investments either. The same thing would have happened if another states pension fund gambled on us.

Why do you think U if flying to GLA next year? It has very little to do with the fact that GLA is a large business center, and everything to do with golf courses, specifically Turnberry.

Do you know why all the trees in Georgia lean to the west?Because Alabama SUCKS!!!!!!!!

Although Aladamnbama isn't a tourism wonderland, the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail is great. RTJ courses are usually big bucks. Alabama built a series of them several years ago that are all first-rate and affordable. Golfers actually do travel there to play from all over the country.
