The Better Business Bureau of Eastern North Carolina, Inc warned Wednesday that scammers are mailing out notices about supposedly free airline tickets from outfits called “American Airways” or "US Airlines," names that you might imagine being used by US Airways (NYSE: LCC) and American Airlines (OTC: AAMRQ) after they merge. The would-be winners call a number in the letter to collect their tickets but are then pressured to give their credit card numbers to cover fees and taxes.
