Of course it went senior. It's something new to do, and anything (well, almost) is worth a try once or twice.
We won't really know if the TLV trip is a good deal or not until late July or August.
Watch the flight attendant ETB for the last two weeks in July. If there is a plethora of TLV trips up for grabs, we will have the verdict.
As for the pilots, watch the AIL list after mid-July. If the pilots with TLV trips are trying to drop them in droves, we will have the flight deck verdict, too.
The names on those blocks baffle me. They don't seem to have a clue what they signed up for. Hey good for them. I don't see you on there Baja. I thought were you were going to bring a little Mexican flavor to Israel ?
I still think it will go both ways. the primary lines went very junior for july .they went to feb 97 . one month away from me. meaning i am sure i would prob hold a sec line with tlv on it for july.
these nerdowells won't last on this trip. it will to hard on the body and too much work. I will be on the inaugural going West and that's enough spice for right now. etops a lot of people held out for secondary this summer so that may be a reason primary went so far down. all the best!!
I have never heard of a high time Int'l trip going junior at any airline, except USA. It seem's odd to me. I know these flight's can be hard to work, but for a lot of the senior people and commuters, it's well worth the time and great lay over.
The reason TLV went senior is because each block had only three trips in it. Many of the people blocked on these trips aren't TA regulars. They bid the blocks for the three trip only advantage. The actual people flying these trips will be more junior....maybe.
For pilots, blockholders have a monthly guarantee (71 hours.) If all your trips are cancelled, that's what you get for staying home. I suspect the flight attendants have a similar "me, too."
