And I'm sure 700 will chime in, but if an election for ramp and passenger service classification occurred ready reserve would be covered as they are in the same craft and class. Sadly for DL workers in RTW states like FL, GA, etc under the RLA union membership is still compulsory. But again don't forget it was the IAM that added part time reserve at Hawaiian Airlines. Recent UA T/A had unlimited part time AND unlimited split shifts.

Ready reserve is good for the unions since its more headcount meaning for expendable dues payers. But hopefully with DL bulking up many stations with RRs the multiple RRs backfilling one FT are more likely to vote no.

Sometimes it is hard to be humble but it is welcome by many!

When I 'go on' about the South, I should put in a disclaimer that suggests that my remarks be taken with a ...'grain-of-salt' (albeit a SMALL grain) . There are (of course) GOOD people everywhere, and ASSS Holes everywhere as well.

My ol' grandma had a very true saying that....'A leopard never changes it's spots'....and Boy was she ever right.
The South has proven Time and Time and Time again, to be in NO hurry to make many changes, compared to other parts of the USA. ( this is where my ......'quardrants'....... come into play). Generally speaking, 'Dixie' has never, and will Never get over losing the Civil War, and I will NEVER FORGIVE....... the majority of Southern thinking (albeit a 51% majority) that still exists TODAY, about thier attitude towards 'leaving' our nation, and the CANCER of Enslaving Human Beings, under the disguise of 'states rights' !
(Something is Severely F'd-up, when the amount of money that was being made picking, and shipping cotton via the port of Charleston SC, was MORE Important than HUMAN DIGNITY) !
(constant) Survey after survey, shows the 'SE Quadrant' as coming in 'LAST'..in terms of uneducated people, health, LOW pay....HELLL, the list goes on and on.
It's painfully Clear that the Majority (then and Now) are'nt INTERESTED in change !
And then (of course) there's PAULA DEEN and BUBBA !

So 'QA4', when someone can PROVE me WRONG a majority of the time, it will be Then, that I'll back-off-of the South.
Far too many red-necks "TRY" to ....'pooh-poo' away the Wretched .. S T I N K, and Indelible.. S T A I N of thier Past !

Bears, Quite frankly, I don't care if you ever back off of the South as at times I have to agree with you. I look around and am in awe that they are able to tie their shoes. However, I have seen much of the same in almost every state I have been in and I think I've been to all but about five. There are brilliant people and morons among us, no matter where we reside. Since I didn't exist during the civil war, and my Grandparents came over from Europe in the early 1900's, I have no say in that argument. Yes, I drive an F-150 but with no confederate flag hanging in the back window or gun racks! Do I wish people were a bit sharper down here? Heck yes but it is what it is and I am not hanging on to bitter feelings about what happened over 100 years ago that I had no part of and cannot change history. That to me is a waste of time. As far as the future of this Country, to be honest, it scares me. It's going to 'Helena Handbasket' faster than a speeding ticket! Cheers !

Hey, I'm driving a P U truck as well (4x4) for the New Hampshaaaaaaaa winters 🙂
As for being 'Bitter,........IMO I'm not bitter.
My thing is to NEVER let some ... ' SH!T HEEL ' come on here trying to 'spin away' thier Nasty History, when it's a pretty good guess that thier deepest feeling still havn't changed. (Only the Lynchings have stopped).

The likes of Paula Deen and BUBBA, ...keep me very busy,...and trust me,...there's Thousands and thousands MORE still just under the radar down there , and Yes, to a lesser degree they're up here too.

If you ever saw me, you'd be surprised as to how white I am ! (Damn near Albino).
Minus the religious BS, I'd have made one helll of an abolishonist. I have this dream, of being a small town sherriff, who's confronted with some RED NECK (run away Slave) Bounty Hunter who DEMANDS (in a 'drawl) thats barely understandable, that I ' HEP' him find these NIG'RAS ' ! My dream ends, when my friend a neighbor's HOGS have just finished consumming the MFer, as his horse runs all the way back to Georgia, with NO One in the saddle !
