But fortunately the DL employees (ex pilots & dispatchers) haven't succumbed to the unions and their empty promises.
And I'm sure 700 will chime in, but if an election for ramp and passenger service classification occurred ready reserve would be covered as they are in the same craft and class. Sadly for DL workers in RTW states like FL, GA, etc under the RLA union membership is still compulsory. But again don't forget it was the IAM that added part time reserve at Hawaiian Airlines. Recent UA T/A had unlimited part time AND unlimited split shifts.
Ready reserve is good for the unions since its more headcount meaning for expendable dues payers. But hopefully with DL bulking up many stations with RRs the multiple RRs backfilling one FT are more likely to vote no.
