Transition talks

Not really much of an update! A possible interim agreement until the Transition Agreement can be negotiated? Sounds more like company mumbo-jumbo. Meet for 1 day, then wait 3 1/2 weeks to meet again sounds like snail progress. But if you delay talks, you remain: COST NETURAL!

While we are on this topic, has anyone heard anything new about the 141 trasition talks? There is nothing new on the 141 Website, so I can only assume that they are taking a break while hundreds of us remain out in the cold on furlough. Why rush anything though...

The reports I got from team members sounded far better than I was expecting. Time will tell though, I expect to see them having a hard time getting dates out of the company. But the reports on the IAM were good. Lets all hope that it stays that way.

Can you provide any more details? The last update on the IAM 141 site, are over a month old. 🙁
Thanks....

I believe that 141 is waiting until Feb to see how the arbitration regarding the snapback provision goes. Until then, they will probably sit around playing footsie with management. It seems like 141 is more concerned with getting the 22 thugs their jobs back.

I guess that those 22 are more important than hundreds of others...Tell them that they will gain more dues paying members, that should get them moving in a hurry!!! 😛

 thats right they should have never been fired
these are guys that want to protect your penisons.
what do want a cwa penison 3% of your gross ,you will have to work abour 200 yrs to retire.

Heck why allow a little thing like criminal charges get in the way.

Theys jus good ole boys, just funning didn't mean no harm, beside those fellers from the TWU was a bunch of little girls go cryin' to the law like dat.

Why should a company be responsible for YOUR pension? Isn't something in your world YOUR responsibility?

You know clearly the answers to that.

If its contractual, whether your senior level exec or contracted labor...the company is responsible for the contract provisions they negotiate. The only time they can get out of any contract or provision is filing for BK, 7 or 11.

As an employee with a contract, one has the responsibility to ensure that their respective company is following the contract provisions to the "T".

I mean Jeezus it's your career and happiness in life why not actively manage it as you & I have? Why do some people always play victim?

With regard to Labor...they almost always are.

Yep, let see screw the retirees, screw the current workers yet pay the executives pensions for life and health benefits and fire them and pay them millions to leave.

The new Republican American Way!
